One might even say it's... brutale.
The game can be made to run with DSR but because of how it's set up it doesn't work by default. First you need to go to the games directory and enter properties for the game.exe (stupid name for the games executable), go to the compatibility tab and then select "Override high DPI scaling behaviour". Unfortunately the games "fullscreen" is actually borderless fullscreen (yet another thing that devs should really stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doing) so you have to set your desktop resolution to the DSR resolution you wish to play in before launching the game. Both of these should allow you to use DSR.
There are still issues with temporal aliasing but the game does look much better at 4k on a 1080p panel.
The borderless fullscreen issue is common enough that i'd suggest everyone search for and install "Monitor profile switcher" Which allows you to quickly swap between desktop resolutions without having to open a control panel, it even supports multiple display configurations.
Though the best would be to disable the default antialiasing completely, I agree the game looks muuch better with VSR/DSR. Thanks !
PS. SSAA forced through drivers wouldn't work for me, I doubt it works at all for this game. There are many, many games where this does not work, actually.
