Its set during The End Times Event, which starts in the year 2519 IC.

Vermintide 1 starts in the year 2523 IC, there is already tons of fighting, with the Civil War in Bretonnia, Volkmars Crusade, the Siege against the Karaks and the invasion of Lustria etc.

Time between VT 1 and 2 are mere weeks if not a month or maybe a bit more.
