best solo team comp for legend
been trying to get through the main campaign solo on legend with bots, and so far it hasnt been that bad but ive gotten caught up on Festering Ground. ive been experimenting with different team comps, and i have gotten close, but still havent been able to get through it. what are some team comps it should try out (i have all the careers and dlc careers unlocked)?

i also still have to do the boss missions, except Skittergate, i completed that already for the achievement. what are some tips for approaching those missions?

solo with bots?
play as elf with bot ironbreaker bardin, grail knight or footknight kruber, and priest saltz, focus only on sniping specials and elites as the bots can handle hordes fine

yes with bots.

ill give this comp a try.
I will never understand why some insist on playing this solo. It can be good for practice, just nowhere as fun or dynamic. Regardless, remember to spec and equip out the bots - they're only as good as you kit them.
Ironbreaker and unchained bots are nigh unkillable, will take presure off you and snipe specials quite well. 3rd can be war priest, zealot, grail knight, or foot knight if you want a bot that doesn't need babysitting (but they are nowhere near as good at it as the other 2 bots). Many people rcomend Merc, but in my experience he needs to be babysat.
B- options are also handmaiden for stamina aura, and Sott for the staff against specials.

In the final event of Festering Ground, don't rush to destroy the Buboes. First, deal with the main enemy spawn that occurs as a little later as you pass the ammunition box after dropping down, and then when moving to a new area. The usual strategy involves one player destroying the Buboes while the other three handle the spawn at the entrance to the Buboes area. However, this is not something you can do with bots, so it will take more time. To avoid being surrounded, retreat backward—the enemy spawn points are fixed, and if you do everything correctly, you will only face the main spawn from one direction. Be especially careful in the third area, as its main spawn consists of Plague Monks that come from the direction of the drop-down into the final event area, often catching players off guard. In this area, being surrounded is inevitable, and your only option is to choose the best possible position to fight under these conditions. In the first area you can return to the area of the ammo box after triggering, in the second area you can return behind the bridge that falls after clearing the first area. In the third area you can stand under the bridge that is closer to the ammo box.

As for the Lords, the most challenging one is the Skittergate Lord. The other Lords in the standard campaign don't require special strategies. The only advice here is to choose a boss-killer to avoid prolonging the fight with the Lord and to reduce risks.

yup, just beat it. followed your advice and took it slower, also got lucky and no bosses spawned. thanks for the help.

bounty hunter, ironbreaker, necromancer, and sister of thorns actually worked pretty well together.

Ironbreaker is a must, and necromancer is so underrated and on par with ironbreaker, as for the third bot, you can take either Merc or Thorn depending on your pick.

yeah, ive been realizing how OP the thorn bot is. she'll instantly ult and stagger any special attacking the team.

As long as you take care of Specials and Monsters, it don't really matter what bots are. But, the tankier, the better. As such:

Ironbreaker
Unchained
Warrior Priest
Mercenary
(Kerillian bot kinda sucks)

Give them Crossbows, Handguns, Bolt Staff and such.

There is a guide somewhere in steam that is still kinda valid. Anyway bots I am using are:

-mercenary with shield handgun;
-ironbreaker two hammers and handgun;
-necromancer with necro staff and reaper;
-sister of thorns with her staff and glaive.

I find it that Saltz is dying a lot while doing not so much. Witch hunter can stagger enemies with ult, but, again, dies a lot in my games.

Mercenary is just press X for free hp and stagger stuff, ironbreaker is ironbreaker, necromancer provides like great dps and skeletons give a nice distraction. And sister of thorns stuns annoying stuff and also provides some okay dps.

Kinda lazy to describe the talents I am using but with the comp above I feel like I have way better teammates than real players lmao. The only exception is fighting some bosses and chaos wastes bosses in general. Also ledges are scary. One bot gets pushed and stuck on a ledge, another one tries to help, repeat. Just lost my legendary weekly chaos wastes because of that bs. Last mission, last push, everything is fine and then rampart, regenerate boss just mlg-noscoped bots.

Anyway, sometimes you can just dodge-block and rush forward while everything around is just dying to the bots lmao.

Because bots are dumb as ♥♥♥♥ versus everything that isn't trash.
Elites? Just watch them eat overheads for no reason.
Specials? Who doesn't love watching them suicide rush a gasrat then stand in the poison?
Monsters? They're absolute pros at doing the rat ogre dance, but love to run through stormfiend fire.

They aren't going to generate THP effectively if your weapon/talent choice has a little bit of nuance to it either.

The most important part of playing with bots is having something to deal with specials. That deals with their most egregious suicidal tendencies. Being able to thin out elites is also a massive boon. Monsters is a bit of a crap shoot, since it comes down heavily on what it is and where it spawned.

Honestly, it's not as good as it sounds. Merc, IB and WHC will all use their ults to prevent assassins landing on you or trash hitting you at the last moment. SotT does the same, but she also has an incredibly annoying tendency to just spam ult charges on something for no reason. Nothing beats pushing an assassin, only for SotT to hit it with multiple ult charges and push it so far away you can't kill it before it smoke bombs. SotT bot is far more useful for her lift ability, though even that can be a bit unreliable.

Merc Kruber, Unchained Sienna, Ranger Bardin are best for bots imo. Give all of them the healing talents and a decent weapon setup. For Kerillian take waywatcher, For saltz take witchhunter captain. Prioritize special killing gear on them and health upkeep. Was able to solo legend on every character with everyclass with this setup.

Though to be honest I did it more as a fun challenge. Its easier (at least when I played) just to do it with a group of real people than bots

EDIT: I did want to note for bardin IB is also really good but depends what you are running

Take bots with as much passive value as possible. They cant do anything else anyway

The best is by far Merc. He takes damage, he ults, he takes damage, he ults. He is just absurdly good at this cycle, he provides just tons of free healing for everyone.
RV is really good too, because he provides THP on ult and tons of free ammo
SoTT is pretty useful too, damage bonus and healing bonus.
Those 3 guys together will survive better then 3 tanks. And they will provide you infinite ammount of free THP

Necro is damn useful with her skelettons

The best class for bot play imho is Huntsman with repeator. It is so ez that noone is even close to him.

You have infinite ammo, you can snipe every special and elite in the run, you are tanky, you have absurd THP generation. And you have good boss damage and invis.

It is cata+more elites+twins. And it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ez.
