to Nekros point, all my stuff is either red or orange with the perks/traits I want so I don't really care anymore about the loot - I was thinking bout newer players. something feels a bit wonky with the distribution.
As someone without all red/oranges. It hurts. Enough to kill motivation to play the game.
I don't understand why the devs would continue to enforce such a stupid decision. It adds NOTHING to the game.
cause they... are lazy... don't play ... and don't care.
It's always brain-cell suicide inducing when people smack talk things they hardly understand.
Kay, let's play a game:
I introduced a friend to Vermintide 2 a few days ago, he's played like 7 runs since then. What do you think his equipment power level is?
It already averages like 180! (Plus 140 for being level 14) Yall are whining about slower progression when they made it like 2-3 times faster, and the final TINY LITTLE BIT slightly slower. He'll be less than 5% away from the max possible damage boost you can get from equipment power within like 10 more runs.
Yall are literally INSANE.

Unless you get legend chests youre not gonna reach 300 and you cant even use crafting anymore to get "whatever weapon you want", now you gotta rely on RNG because just look how unreliable crafting is
So yes, the beginning goes faster, but they quite literally just switched the grind from being frontloaded to backloaded, nothing changed and it might as well be objectively worse
Especially for people who were at max level pre-update, because now they have to open chests for an RNG chance then craft 4-5 weapons to get a 300 power version
You completely glossed over the point I made about it taking like 20 runs to get within 5% of the max damage boost from equipment power.
It's hardly a grind with such an inconsequential reward. Once your weapon power is like 275+ (which will take VERY little time), the jump to 300 will be less than 5% more damage!
Edit: It's the same reason I tell people not to fret over getting reds. The difference in stats is fricken TINY!
I for one love the idea of the grind being back-loaded, because it means I get to get ever so slightly stronger for an extended period of time- even if it is so minuscule I won't even notice.
