Also the final event spawning so many packmasters and assassins with each wave made me lose a part of my soul.
Its fun.
Definitely.
I've beat every map on Legend as it stands, but holy Sigmar, the second mission's large gate section is murder, especially if you don't have good ranged equipment, or you're out of ammo.
Take weapons that hit hard or have recoverable ammo: javelins, throwing axes, gatling gun.
Seriously, the javelin saved my runs more then once as Handmaiden.
I do recall the first being the hardest even though we managed it in one go. When we failed once in each of the next two, they were just more about getting lazy and kinda being taken by surprise, not the overall difficulty of the levels/areas?
I think it has to do with the fact that the first one spawns so many specials on you in continuous waves and it punishes you for it the longer you linger which can especially be a problem if you're having issues moving the barrels safely through the hordes of enemies through pretty constricted areas.
Hilariously enough, the portrait challenge got moved to recruit so... yeah XD
Second Mission on Cataclysm is probably the hardest of the 3 maps imo. Thankfully you can use the grimoire spot for funneling enemies and it's a decent defensive area. Having someone with a movement skill for interacting with the event can be really good as well.
Oh yeah, that would’ve been brutal on my first Cataclysm run if Huntsman didn’t have such insane ammo sustain. Repeater rifle never dips below 30 bullets even if I “fan” it. Also fortunate my team was composed of Battle Witch, Warrior Priest, and SotT with javelin. So luckily no ammo issues at all.
You'd be surprised how many events are not infinite, for example. These are easy, because you can just turtle somewhere until the spawns end.
Second map can break your neck at the first event because there is no pause after the event there is still rats, elites, specials coming and coming and there are 2 boss triggers right after the gate spot. But all in all i like it and hope they wont nerf it.
Third map is the most easiest in my eyes technically even the best map for speedrunning
For the first event on Mission of Mercy you should be using the ledges to clear out shielded SV kiting them around in a pathway to keep going up to use the elevation to expose the shields and get stagger bonus. If you can't it's literally two shoves to break guard or a push + whatever weapon combo is most efficient to break their guards. If you are by your team you guys can wallop em into submission, group up. There's a hold spot on one of the ledges where I've held that position with one other player, as we've killed all the elites and backed off a little if we needed it. Any career combo can clear this event easily unless you got silent zerker'd in the behind without Barkskin and the team doesn't res.
You call that worse? I had a plague monk kill me through the closed door. 10/10 bug free :D
