Infinite cleave of "Virtue of Confidence" has to be nerfed
upd 2: With Virtue of Knightly Temper you don't even need a strength potion or a bomb to oneshot multiple chaos warriors/shielders.

upd 1: I've found a post on reddit of someone killing 13 stormvermin in one hit. To do the same thing with chaos patrol you're gonna need a strength potion ofc but it's not like GK has any problems with that.

I have no idea why Fatshark decided that GK wasn't SSS tier p2w enough but since Virtue of Confidence buff he has clearly become Engi level of braindead.

Even before the buff GK was one of the strongest careers in the game but being able to deal with good half of cata chaos patrol by pressing F is way too strong even for him, constant supply of potions only adds to it. Gotta mention that GK also has pretty short cooldown for such strong ult - ~60sec (e.g. WHC with somewhat similar but still weaker ult has ~90sec).

Previously Virtue of Confidence was used to quickly deal with multiple weaker elites or single chaos warrior, to deal with two chaos warriors you had to pick Virtue of Audacity, kinda like Shade does with her Shimmer Strike and Cloak of Pain. So basically the only use-case for Virtue of Audacity now is if you need as much boss damage as possible, for anything else Virtue of Confidence is stronger by far.

I have little doubt that this is done intentionally. It allows a player to use an OP character and practically solo win when you’re tilting from bad teammates :steamhappy: There should be an OP in the balance sheet for such a case.

It's done intentionally, it was in the patchnote

The cooldown was already nerfed in latest patch. Also if there is one thing he will never struggle with it is elites, having audacity when facing a patrol does not make a massive difference unless it is blackrats (which will die anyway).

On cata most people still pick the double stab. The extra cleave was indroduced to encourage more people to pick confidence virtue.

Funny misunderstanding. I meant the general tendency is that there is always an OP character in the game and this is done intentionally.

I miss OP Sienna and possibly the fourth elf.

You probably judge by experienced players who can play even in meme builds. I recently advised one player who recently switched to cataclysm to use horizontal ult and damn, all his pressure problems disappeared. I would not have thought that he was new to cata if I had not known it in advance. This allowed him to play very confidently.

Exactly, I don't mind seeing a GK using this, It's less hassle for me and perfect for random lobbies.

Even thou GK kills most of elites with one hit, there's still a noticeable difference between manually hitting them and pressing F to kill everyone.

Audacity kills 2 armored units at most, Confidence kills as much as it can hit, no matter if it's stormvermin or chaos warriors.

Engineer in my opinion requires good skill to work miracles. GK is ideal for an inexperienced player, he does not even need to feel responsible for controlling specials.

Most of GK's i'm seeing are using Confidence now unless it's twitch.

If u still think it's trash then u should give vanguard deed a try.
Thanks for the reminder, I wanted to try out that changed talent and I keep forgetting. I'll miss double tapping bosses though.

Idk which kind of skill we're talking about, in my expirience 9/10 Engi players on cata easily owning the game unless they're running some kind of a meme build like axe&shield+drakegun.

Bad point. Engineer buff was introduced to encourage more people to pick him and look how it ended up.

The slash ult before the buff was already very strong, you're sacrificing boss damage for safety against disablers in horde and trivializing all skaven elites. Now it is a bit stronger than it does need to be, but it is nowhere near the strength buffed engi or old sott - those are also braindead comparisons.
