Sword and dagger is generally considered her best weapon, but HM can make any weapon work. I'm partial to the daggers but I've also had success with spear, glaive, and 1h sword. Up to you.
i see
WoM is like $5 on sale
Throwing Axes offers a niche on 1H focused Slayer + grants him a ranged option, melee focused on RV (small synergy but last projectile with some distance lets you get the +25% power from Last Resort). 2nd worst, beating Kruber's Spear because it finally granted Slayer a range option paired with support RV builds some more power in a pinch with CS 1 Axe headshots & melee.
Tuskgor Spear has easy to access move tech on Kruber, great stagger + single target, scales well on Mercenary & Huntsman. Worst out of the bunch considering it's only on 2 careers as a melee weapon. Kruber's just got so much of a melee arsenal to outshine Tuskgor Spear it's ease of access makes it far easier to run on Huntsman due to finesse bonuses + crit and lack of atk spd scaling.
Flail is pretty much heavy spam the king. You just win.
Spear n' Shield on Handmaiden is the penultimate defensive utility that makes and breaks the class. Easy pokes & move tech, decent single-target paired with a potential 90% BCR and can be paired with Briar Javelins. You can block all but fire sources, explosives, & Shield-Shatter curses.
If you're gonna question Billhook, it's as often used as rapier and axe & falchion. Look up a guide for this thing it's stupid strong just takes time getting used to its mobility paired with moveset.
Let's go one by one with each character:
- Kruber. Tuskgor Spear
A decent defensive weapon due to its long range and armor penetration with his stabs like any other spear. Good weapon for Huntsman, weak for the rest of classes I would say. Complicated to use but it's fun to do the M1M2M1M2 combo where you cancel the first stab right after landing the hit only doing that move to kill something quick in a 1v1.
- Bardin. Throwing Axes.
The only way to give Slayer a ranged weapon. It's range is ass but the damage is quite high. It's also infinite since you can retrieve it from the bodies or hold reload to make the axes come back to Bardin as if it was Thor pulling Mjolnir.
You are not really going to use this weapon in anything that is not Slayer unless you're playing Chaos Wastes, you bought random ranged weapon and somehow you landed this thing. Then again, in CW if you get double projectile with axes I can assure you that a RV with this thing will kill EVERYTHING by throwing the axes. It's quite the fun weapon but really subpar.
- Kerillean. Spear and Shield.
The only shield weapon for Kerillean and it's a DLC. Do you intend to play Vs? If yes, you just need this, it's a must for Handmaiden (P2W even). Is it a must in PvE? Nah, the weapon is just ok but super safe to use since, well, it's a spear and a shield. Easy to use with the hyperactive push attack attack cancel loop of "look at me mom, I'm faster than the lumberfoots oh no I got grabed!". I must say, some illussions make this weapon look sick, personally I love using this weapon on Handmaiden.
- Victor Saltzpyre. Bill Hook.
Alright so another spear looking thing so you get the idea. What's the catch? It has a special button for this weapon, which consumes a bit of your stamina to do an armor penetrating pull that will stagger everything that is not a monster. A packmaster coming at you in a 1v1? Surely, you know how to dodge, but what if you pull him before he does? No need to dodge, stunlock him and kill him. SV doing the overhead attack to that elf that won't stop dying? Nah, pull him and kill him.
This weapon takes some time to get used to and fits all Saltz, but personally I think that Zealot does the best with it. Zealot's talent of "every 5th hit is a guaranteed crit" works very well with the special button so you can manipulate and do the 4th hit as the pull into a charged guaranteed crit. Some will tell you that it's the best weapon for Saltz.
- Sienna Fuegonasus. Flaming Flail.
Jack of all trades master of a few. Arguably the best weapon for UC (I personally think its the Reaper now instead) but definetly a superb contender as "the best weapon" in general for almost all Siennas. It can deal wtih anything and everything, the only weakness is that if you want to do something specific other melee weapons do it better. You want better horde killing? The normal sword is better. Wanna do more anti armor? Reaper has it beat. However, the flail has no clear weakness and makes it a truly attractive weapon - also quite fun to use. I personally use the flail on my Pyromancer because the other Siennas run something else (BW Fire Sword cause DoT build, UC Reaper and Necro Sword).
Go have fun with it mate!
Almost 9€ iirc on sale. It only gets -50%, it's the most expensive DLC.
