This game is a rythem game disguised as a hack and slash. You just gotta find what tempo best suits you.
Slayer, Foot Knight, Shade, Bounty Hunter, and Unchained.
Honorable mentions go to: Ironbreaker, Grail Knight, Sister of the Thorn, Warrior Priest, and Battle Wizard.
really depends on what you want to play.
Kerillians weapons tend to require a bit mroe finess (apart from sword and dagger) - aim for the head, her stuff has nice modifiers for headshots, same for other stabbing weapons like the rapier.
Kruber is just a solid all around guy - nothing special, nothing terrible, good for basics.
Bardin scout: Grudgeraker and something to pierce heavy armor as melee weapon -> enjoy yourself.
Bardin Ironbraker: As close to immortal as you can get without beeing decent with the unchained, pick either the rifle or the torpedo as ranged weapon. (Rifle for shield / long range special killing, torpedo for fun and chaos warrior / patrole / monster deletion.)
Bardin Slayer: somewhat mindless fast pace hack and slash, can be quite deadly to yourself if you forget that you are playing vermin tide. Weak to special.
Battlewiz is pure horde clear goodness, very fun to play - take the flame sword or fire dagger , bolt(heavy single target), coruscation(horde and soft-ish target clear) or fireball staff and watch the world burn.
Unchained ngl, monsters and specials will suck, but she is almost immortal if you pick the right talents. equip the flail and go ham.
His ult deystroys anything but Chaos Warrios and even they will die if you aim at the heads. But it will take a bit of time and ammo.
Its fun to gun down a Stormvermin patrol with it like Rambo.
PS: Before you ask, how i hanlde a horde in close combat. When it happens, i shotgun blast spam them with my pistols. The first heavy attack(shield bash) to build up my THP and use it to cool down my guns fast in combat.
There are no fun classes, only useful ones.
Howeverrrrr
I highly recommend against playing with bots. Playing with randoms who have varying skills is what keeps the game fresh, (even after 2k hours, heh). Plus you can enjoy focusing your energy on support with careers like Foot Knight, Sister of the Thorn, and Ironbreaker without losing all your DPS and having all the bots kill themselves. Players (Even bad ones) are superior to bots 99% of the time once you break Champion, not to say Bots can't work, I've heard stories of people who play solo exclusively and they've managed to make it work by fine tuning their playstyle and the bots' builds. But still, unless you want to level up all the characters so the bots can use maxed builds, and also go through the trial and error that goes into making their builds work, I suggest sticking with people.
Assuming you're playing with real people, I'd say ALL the careers are fun and can work, ESPECIALLY if you're playing the regular difficulties without any modifiers like Twitch Mode or Deed/Weekly Modifiers. Literally anything can work up to Cataclysm and even beyond if you're skilled, so just have fun.
