also stop shooting armor as it is useless for that as well
and also stop using it on hord/berserk given the slow reload speed youre just better killing things with your weapon (not even considering if its equipped with swift slaying or not)

Nothing wrong with the weapon at all as it works perfectly for what it's intended.
EDIT: and don't speak for everyone when saying "nobody uses it". I play exclusively on Cataclysm and am happy to still use it.
Yeah, that makes sense. Alternatively, you could just not use the blunderbuss.
Fatshark is not spending anymore time on the weapon, but in contrast deleting it is some extra work...

Imho the most efficient way to fix the weapon, would be to remove its clip. Just like a bow, it should fire every 0.5s.
