Winds of Magic - Ranked Weaves
So, I bought a DLC on Vermintide. There's this thing called Ranked Weaves, I wanted to purely solo to see what it was.
And I have a question, how do you even customize the difficulty? Because in Weave Quickplay, you can choose the difficulty.

No, the weaves are 4 cycles of 40 maps. The maps+modifiers are always the same (map 15 is the same as map 55 is the same as map 95 is the same as map 135), with the spawns in them slowly ramping up and being more numerous, but generally not changing composition-wise.

They are in 4 cycles split by difficulty:

1st cycle has 10 maps on recruit, 10 on veteran, 10 on champion, and last 10 on legend.

2nd cycle has 20 maps on cata and 20 maps on cata2 (higher difficulty than classic cata you can select in chaos wastes and campaign, but you are also stronger in weaves so it kinda balances out)

3rd cycle is all 40 maps in cata 3 - you need to start being careful around here because most stagger breakpoints stop working - you need more than just 27% power and opportunist to stagger plague monks with a push on a shield (though something like 30% and a shield bash do work).

The final 4th cycle is on cata 3 but each map slowly increases enemy damage scaling up to 1000%, meaning ratlings kill you in 3 bullets, everything else kills you in 1 hit. Taking natural bond is very important here because that 1 hit that would kill you will make the queued 1hp regen kick in and you will survive 1 hit (but go down to the 2nd unless you fully heal to green with the passive regen before that).

This is the final circle of hell and often takes multiple attempts to clear the last maps even with a premade group of good players.

Just play 100 recruit ones until you get hard ones
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Good question! I was thinking this last week when I played my first Ranked Weave - I'm up to game 5 now but those upgrades are expensive. I'm back to campaigns to earn me essence, now I know when the difficulty spike kick's in. Thank you all for your insight.

WoM failed miserably so CW could live. It also permanently adds beastmen, ♥♥♥♥ beastmen...well don't literally do that.

me and my friend are stuck on weave 47, one of the gray ones with invisible enemies.
we used to think we were good players, we don't think so anymore

Was it the one on the Fort Brachsenbrücke map and you have to destroy essence nodes with spark barrels, because that is the one I'm stuck too, at least solo with bots.

Some weaves are easier than others, like weave 40 (80, 120, 160).
I've done weave 160 2 times now, but I'm still stuck at 47, just because the map has a different modifier and enemy mix.
