They are in 4 cycles split by difficulty:
1st cycle has 10 maps on recruit, 10 on veteran, 10 on champion, and last 10 on legend.
2nd cycle has 20 maps on cata and 20 maps on cata2 (higher difficulty than classic cata you can select in chaos wastes and campaign, but you are also stronger in weaves so it kinda balances out)
3rd cycle is all 40 maps in cata 3 - you need to start being careful around here because most stagger breakpoints stop working - you need more than just 27% power and opportunist to stagger plague monks with a push on a shield (though something like 30% and a shield bash do work).
The final 4th cycle is on cata 3 but each map slowly increases enemy damage scaling up to 1000%, meaning ratlings kill you in 3 bullets, everything else kills you in 1 hit. Taking natural bond is very important here because that 1 hit that would kill you will make the queued 1hp regen kick in and you will survive 1 hit (but go down to the 2nd unless you fully heal to green with the passive regen before that).
This is the final circle of hell and often takes multiple attempts to clear the last maps even with a premade group of good players.
That is, the kindergarten that is going on now is just preparation, and then there will be a massacre for the Blood God
Well, thank you very much for the warning!
we used to think we were good players, we don't think so anymore
Some weaves are easier than others, like weave 40 (80, 120, 160).
I've done weave 160 2 times now, but I'm still stuck at 47, just because the map has a different modifier and enemy mix.
