Red items with less then 300 power?

I thought all red items were supposed to have 300 power? Or did this change recently?

depends on what you got it out of veteran chest reds will always be 200 due to that's the max power lv limit restrictions. I've heard of someone saying they got a 200 and something out of a champion box on here.

Made a thread about it some days ago and this reply was tagged by devs as the answer

Veteran - 200
Champion and above - 300

So if you get reds early, the incentive is to be able to scrap them to get red dust for later on after you passed the gear score threshold for that difficulty
