Necromancer Reaping talent.
Is the clatterstaff(necro default staff) affected by the cleave of Reaping talent on crit? Wasn't sure if it had to crit consecutively to make another pen after the first..It already has some cleave(just not sure if it's infinite and just stops when the lifetime of the projectile dies).
Will check with the team whether the lack of infinite cleave is intended or not!
Yup, this is all working as intended: it is correct that ranged crits get the power bonus, but not the infinite cleave.

Generally, when ingame, we try to use 'cleave' for melee attacks and 'ranged penetration' for ranged attacks.

Pretty sure the curse bolt doesn't have any cleave, and it's just coded to pass through/penetrate/bounce-on up to 2 enemies (if there's any nearby), regardless of what kind of enemies they are.

Cursed Blood talent works with range crits. You will aoe stagger the enemy with a crit.
But only the first target will do that.

Be careful with DoTs. They do not count as your kills. This might be important for a Necro.

This is the correct answer. It does not cleave, it just bounces to two nearby enemies.
I tested this out a bit, and it looks like the infinite cleave does not affect ranged weapons at all.

It also does not work with ranged attack of bolt, fireball, conflag (primary), corru (primary). From this I assume it does not work with ranged attacks at all.

Yeah, power applies, I just wasn't sure if cleave affected it at all. The consensus is no. :3

I tested it with the weapons/attacks i mentioned and it worked on none of them.

I'm pretty sure I noticed more damage. I'll have to check her other talents to make sure something else wasn't going on.

25% power DOES affect crits, they don't get more cleave though.
