Is this game good for single play?
I don't like multiplayer and prefer to play alone. Is this game good for single play?

You're probably better off playing with a friend, but all of the base game content can be finished alone.

The bots that are with you instead of players are sometimes a bit stupid, but they can finish cata maps if geared properly. The issue is that they need to be leveled up, which means you have to play the character, and from the start the bots are going to be little more than bait that goes down without helping much. If you really insist on playing with bots, then get all the characters to level 5 as soon as possible in order to get the level 5 healing talent, to at least keep the bots alive.

So is playing this game similar to CS: Go with bots?

There's much more gameplay than when playing csgo with bots. After you played 5 games of csgo with bots you've probably seen all there is to see. In vermintide you can easily rack up hundreds of hours, its just that you're missing out on the social aspect.

It's a coop game, it's much better with people but you have the ability to play with bots.

I've duo'd or solo w/ bots my entire 310 hours of gameplay. I tried quick play once and will never do THAT again. You can easily clear Champion with just vanilla bots, Legend is possible though a bit hit or miss depending on how the bots feel like acting that run. It was far more consistent with the Improved Bot Combat mod, but that's unsanctioned due to crashing and the fixed version isn't sanctioned yet.

If you want singleplayer, Mythforce is basically a better version of this game. Talking purely of gameplay; some people might not like the cartoon indie graphics. No bots, just you, and it's balanced that way.

Yes, this game is good for single play. It will require leveling up four characters instead of one though.

Oh no, varied gameplay, whatever will we do ?!

Playing multiple careers is a plus of the game, and you should do it regardless of whether you have friends playing with you or not. I tend to rotate characters after every game.

Being able to play different characters is a plus. Being obligated to level up four characters before attempting to play at higher difficulties is not a plus, and may even be considered a chore by some players.

You're completely missing the point. We're talking about singleplayer for a new player, which means playing through the game with base equipment on everyone, and having to level up and equip every character individually in order to progress to higher difficulties properly. When you're playing with others, you don't have to worry about leveling up and kitting out the other 3 people on the team and are able to progress at a quicker pace. Trying to play through solo as a new player will feel like a bit of a slog past recruit.

you can for sure. But i can almost assure you that after a while, it will become very boring and also very annoying with how stupid the friendly bots can be. You don't really have to talk to other people when playing. There is no need for vocal or text communication unless its about collectibles like tomes and grims. You just have to have each others back. Just like you would with bots but more reliably

What? Those are completely different games. Nevertheless, I can't believe someone recommends Mythfroce's slog of a gamplay over Vermintide's. Genuinely baffling

On any difficulty above the 2nd easiest - no, not for a new player.

No, not at all. The bots are bad and if you're gonna play solo there are much better games to play for that.

This is blatantly false. They aren't the best and are kinda simple, but they can be built as such to be perfectly useful even on Legend, maybe even Cata, but that is pushing it.

As for the OP: depends on what you want out of singleplayer game playthrough and how big your resistance to same old is.
