Chaos wastes is a bandaid for campaign events being too hard

What? Chaos Wastes isn't even related to the main campaign. It remixes content, yes, but the mode is very different, and the events in Chaos Wastes can be far harder than the campaign events.

Its there to grind gear so you can do the campaign.

If you can't do campaign i highly doubt you can grind Chaos Wastes efficiently.

maybe they meant u just need to be lvled up^and some skills to start grind chaos wastes legend and get your 300power stuff and/or your reds, but IMO its the same for campaign, with good skill you can totally manage to not be a weight to your team and still do good

The amount of time it takes to complete a wastes on legend is about 45 mins to 1 hour. You get 3 chests.
The amount of time it takes to do a campaign level on legend is about 15-20 minutes.

You get the same return regardless of which you play. a box every 15-20ish minutes.
Play screaming bell and a dash class and that can be over in literally 5 minutes.

CW is just another mode for people to enjoy, not a loot farm. But it has similar returns to legend book runs. Just more upfront time investment.

he doesnt know difficulty was nerfed a while ago

I agree. Legend difficulty seems impossible to me. I tried to do book runs on the bell level with bots and couldn't do it. Tried maybe 10 times and got the the boss once but still died. I jumped in some legend games with other people and got carried once or twice. Generally I die and we lose. It's usually the same. A stormvermin or berserker spawns behind me and one-shots me. Tried legendary chaos wastes and it seemed doable. Maybe I'll try to get some more reds and get better, or maybe this is my skill limit and I should try darktide since I've heard the end game is more forgiving. Either way, I had fun for 80-90 hours with this game.

Both emperor and general vaults on champion has a chance for red gear, a valid alternative for a slower but easier win to farm.

It sounds like two things: a) You're just not used to how much harder legend is than Champion, you really have good situational awareness and the first dozen or so runs of Legend will feel like you're being hazed by the AI Director. and b) if you've tried those solo w/ bots runs AFTER necromancer and are used to using the Bot Combat Improvements mod, it's unsanctioned so the bots are back to their usual AI Antics of chasing down a gun rat, with their ranged weapon drawn, so they can switch to melee once they're close enough.

I don't know if that's an intended purpose, but if you're using it that way, then good.

It doesn't matter what the stairs are made of-- as long as they go up.

Helmgart and paid DLC events are really easy though. It's like the dwarf DLCs and maybe Trail that have hard events.

I don't remember since it's been awhile since I've played, but looks like i have the bot mod. I didn't know necromancer broke it. I haven't played in maybe 9 months. I remember being better, like being able to headshot specials with volley crossbow pretty quickly and easily. I'll focus on unlocking some of those Champion armors and trying to do Champion hitless before trying Legendary again.
