recruit-champion = easy difficulty
legend = normal difficulty
cataclysm = normal++ difficulty (i'm saying normal++ because with good teamwork it's not THAT hard)
Most of these are not accurate
hordes become mixed with elites.
trash enemies, if they are single enemy with no other around, can kill you with 3 strikes. Beastmen can with 2. Althouugh they are still affected by damage reduction by numbers, so in horde it would be smth like 16 strikes.
armored enemies (all elites for that matter) are 1,(63) times more tankier (3,3 modifier on lege and 5,4 modifier on cata)
Bosses are 1,(6) times tankier ( 3 and 5 respectively)
Patrols are larger (if you are dead byu tipping off chaos patrols - stay oof cata for now, learn to deal with multiple CW on lege, cause on cata CW patrol is usually easier to deal with in melee, than SV, although SV obviously can be wiped with grenade and ranged weaponry)
Special spawns are more frequent (cant recall how much though) and specials limit is higher (generally 5 max specials on cata vs 3 on lege, IIRC) but general rules are same to lege.
horde timer is 2 times lower (although all modifier aplpy, so actually difference may be less significant, depends on how skilled you are)
----------
Nopw in addition to what said above, there are more roaming enemies. And IIRC stress reduce faster, than on lege. It means muc much more intense experience for a team. You would constantly be dealing with trash + elites, in horde and out of it, so typical lege stuff wont work, you NEED to know how to deal with every elite type in melee. No excuses or you`re dead.
In my experience gap between cata nad lege is greater, than between lege and vet. Mostly due to a fact, that there are no "role separation" in group in general, so every team member need to be able to deal wtih every type of enemy, hold frontline, kill specials/bosses, etc. Ofc it is not 100% of time, but w/o this skill you gonna fail most of runs. Also there are not that easy to achieve BPs as on lege, so you would need to prioriterise and that limits your loadout.
Typical rat: 26.5 hp on legend, 36 on Cata.
Specials: Spawn in groups of 5 or 6. Expect not to one shot them, unless you have built for it.
Patrols: Significantly bigger. Chaos patrol is the most dangerous.
Stormvermin: 52.75 hp on legend, 86.5 on Cata.
Plague Monk: 59.5 hp on legend, 97.25 on Cata.
Chaos Warrior: 151.75 hp on legend, 248.5 hp on Cata (very big difference)
Boss: 2.4k hp on legend, 4k on Cata.
Events: Sometimes bosses will spawn during events, where they normally do not on legend.
Opinion: Bosses and patrols will probably wipe you most, until you figure out how to kill them quickly and efficiently. Berserkers will pick off your weak links, who don't know how to play as much. Horde and specials will slow your pace and teach you to be slow, steady, and disciplined.
true
false true, but it is also true for lege
false
all with same modifier (3,3 vs 5,4), so i dont know why highlight CW specifically.
he did not specify which, bvut it fits 3 of them. Although it is not biggest HP pool, troll have at least 2700 hp on lege and at least 4,5k hp on cata
cant recalll any, but it was long time ago i played lege, so... maybe.
P.S.
It highlights how many people dont know what actually going on on cata, but have strong opinion about it. Which is funny, considering they use BP calc for their info and think, it contains all needed info.
Looking forward to getting my ass kicked on cata by some random enemy in my behind.
righteous stand finale spawns a monster on cata but not on legend
Increased max special count
More elites
More health and damage on everything, this is essentially what makes Cata harder for the most part since any elite will be more deadly and tougher compared to Legend
In fact its added challange for people who wants it.
