Slayer is weak

Playing slayer a lot and Slayer is the weakest and then elf is the next wet paper bag.

Like always. There are many factors that influence it. Which difficulty? On Champion or lower, the elf just play Rambo and you dont have enough to kill with the Slayer.
Which weapons have you tried? A really fun build is Dual Hammers and One Handed Axe. Hammers for horde and the little axe against big targets.
Last. The talents. If you build it so, that you have no downtime with your ult in a horde, you feel like a shredder. This works on Cata better, of course. More and tougher enemies. More targets to hit.
I only play Chaos Wastes on Cata difficulty and the Slayer dmg is in the top two on the scoreboard.

i constantly out kill bh and gk when it comes to monsters as slayer. the only thing he suffers agianst is mobs and thats thanks to bad allies more often then not.

no one is better for elite and speical killing then the elf too range or melee minus handmaiden their kit is for it and their ranged weapons are especially strong for it.

anyone who has trouble with slayer had trouble thanks to 1h weapons and its legend up where there are to many mobs that do to much damage for it to work well.

chaos waste is a terrible measure of a class. ive had top damage and top monster damage as sister of thorn with dual sword and staff. waystalker is laughbly overpowered which is why they nerfed the double shot and removed it from the ult. you could literally kill one mob and fire 8 ult arrows and melt everything including bosses and it so broken that it honestly had to be nerfed and because it was cw it had no cd.

Slayer is terribly underpowered in chaos wastes though, his base dmg is so-so underwhelming. Every single career except foot knight and merc can out-dps slayer in chaos wastes. If there are 2 decent players playing in chaos wastes, one of them plays slayer and the other plays zealot or sister of the thorn (cw underdogs), zealot or sister would still tops slayer dmg. He's just that weak in chaos wastes, there's no way around it.

Slayer is decent in campaign because slayer players can customize their equipments before jumping into the game. Unlike most careers that can just rely on their talents and weapons without traits and properties and still perform decent, slayer relies heavily on pre-made equpments like traits and properties.

Slayer talents and his base dmg don't give enough punch to deal significant damage to out-dps even cw underdog careers i said previously. Even bardin's ironbreaker + trollpedo can out-dps slayer in cw.

Bardin career choice wise, if you're trying to get green circles in your dmg and kills leaderboard, then you'd be better off using outcast engineer or ranger vet, these 2 careers can out-dps even dmg heavy careers like shade, grail knight, bounty hunter, waystalker and battle wizard. Oh and i also only plays on cata chaos wastes.

his melee damage is some of the highest in the game. the only reason you out damage him even in the chaos wastes is thanks to ranged damage. if you take care of specials for him he will wiped out everything else that comes in reach.

i have to keep repeating myself on this but his 1h weapons are genuinely terrible atm in legend. if you can make it work cheers your great with them. most people wont make it work. his 2h damage he can one shot nearly everything but chaos warriors and monsters which he shreds.

he practically ignores armor and chaos wastes gives you talents that inclease your damage a absolute dummy amount especially if you get chain lightning red weapons which makes it even more laughable.

Dont forget. In CW the first two maps are more difficult than normal campaign maps. You have no buffs and grey weapons.
His true strenght comes at higher difficulties, where you actually have something to do.
Slayer can be kinda strange for new people. Many players dont know, that you can recall the throwing axes.

when i tired slayer in chaos waste was when i was a nub and i remember taking the throwing axes and them no doing nearly enough to justify trying to make them work.
