I find Against the Grain pretty straightforward too.
P.S. More than that, even if you fail on a way, you still get vault that have chance of red item. Unlike campaign maps, that have all the same issues but w/o such guarantee. So if you not skillfull enough to reliably finish maps, CW become better choice too.
Aaaaanyway, as i said, if you are not good enough to reliably finish legend runs, CW is better again, due to the fact, that you got guaranteed vault. If you are somewhat above monkey level and can win legend runs on campaign maps from time to time, you will find it easy to win first 2 maps on CW legend, as they are easier, than normal legend, even if you play solo with bots.
Do they got experience? Hell yeah! A lot of it. Does it help them? No.
You can have lege completed by a lot of different ways. Planning, or playing carefully. Building up bots for exact YOUR career to compliment, learning via guides or just exploiting easy to use combo (like BW with double walk and fire sword) and so on. THose are just most popular.
ANd i coudl actually just answer you with one string: ofc it is not about experience. It is only about skill.
But that would be unnecesserily rude. And we again deviated from main point - fast way to farm reds. And it also means practical. In that regards i definetly think CW is better, as any issue you can come up with would also apply to campaign map. With exception of exploits, that is different story. But exploits... well, if you go that route why not just play on modded to begin with? And if you want to dcieve your fellow players, i have no desire to help you in any capacity.
Normal Legend deed runs yield about 3-6 vaults per hour. Here the quality depends on the deed and whether or not you pair those runs up with books or twitch. Some deeds hardly add any extra difficulty to the game (e.g. plain nurgle rot or no ammo pickup for party compositions who don't need ammo anyway), so it's basically a free extra low quality vault on top of your regular Campaign matches. Others make the game significantly harder, but also yield high quality vaults.
Legend CW vaults probably yield about 4 high quality emperor vaults per hour, though I'm not sure how much time you actually need to complete a CW run on Legend. I'm assuming an average campaign time of a bit less than an hour here. It's my understanding this is the easiest and most efficient way to gain loot with regular gameplay
Regular Campaign Legend runs yield a bit less than 2 vaults per hour. Quality depends on whether or not you take books and/or enable twitch for extra dice.
