Need help how to play Victor
Hello,

I just finished leveling up Sienna just got Markus and Victor left.
I have no clue how play this guy and what speci should be playing i like to melee and ranged dps.
I find his defensive very poor while I'm facing hordes of enemies with Falchoin on bounty hunter.

Despite what everyone will tell you, I think zealot is easier unless youre really bad with melee since taking damage is really forgiving on him, although its not easier till 25 when you get the temp hp on ult. Bounty kind of sucks before 15 also and without traits on his ranged. With falchion you want to swing twice, then block cancel vs hordes. It resets its attack chain so you can start hitting the cleave attacks again instead of the overhead. If youre just looking at dps bounty with volley crossbow is definitely the strongest.

Saltzpyre is a very crit oriented character overall so using weapons, trinkets and charms with crit damage/chance and related traits is advised. WHC will instantly kill anything smaller than a chaos warrior with a crit headshot, bounty hunter gets guaranteed ranged crits with his passive and zealot has talents that allow him to do high crit damage when missing hp. Rapier is extremely good on WHC because of his passive killing blows. Falchion and flail are pretty good on all careers if you know how to use them. Two handed sword kind of sucks.

I play with Rapier. Nice sweep range and speed. In terms of the specific weapon, keep them at the tip of your sword and push occassionally to give yourself breathing room. Spam his charged thrust for quick kills especially on armored or elites. Once you hit 15, you'll be switching between your melee and your ranged (spec. Volley Crossbow) constantly as that weapon will plow through anything less than a Chaos Warrior.

Overall though, most of his defensive play will generally be positioning and general spacial awareness. I also second Cacomistle's sentiments on the Zealot in terms of melee potential.

None told me anything but my friend breefly played Witch Hunter Captain until that lucky bastered got skin for the Bounty hunter i saw a lot of them while playing.
Issue that i mostly encounted with him now if there even one armor enemy in horde its ♥♥♥♥♥ up my attack or facing multiple adds with armor.
With the elf just nuke them with my bow and kite them around with bardin just 2 hit all rats with armor unless its a shield i just push them or hit them off belance until i see opening.

I'm working on it to get all main hands legendary and to add crit in them so far these are my trinkets and neck.
I also unlocked Zealot learning to play with Flail on armored targets and like it how to get schield carries quickly off belance and thanks for the advice

With the Rapier, just stab armors in the head and dodge side to side. Shield enemies you can push 1 - 2 times until their guard drops then stab 'em in the head.
Falchion is bad on low power and require good skill to use. Far easier to start leveling with flail or 2h sword.

I play WHC the same way as I did in V1. Dedicated rear guard. Stay out of the thick of the fight so you can maintain situational awareness. Look for specials, tag and kill them. I mean, like don't just stand around, be ready to do whatever is needed at that moment. Be ready to revive/heal people, keep those annoying stragglers from hitting them in the back, listen for patrols, basically a jack of all trades. Not really amazing at any one thing, but with skill you can be very adaptive. Holding boss agro, even just for a minute or two so your teammates get some breathing space.

The WHC ult, while not as effective as Krubers knock downs, can and will save your team from a wipe in some cases. If somebody goes down, you can rush in, pop that ult and it will give you just enough space to block and revive. The passive for blocking light frontal attacks is extremely handy for berzerkers. Just block, keep their attention and wait for a team mate to kill it.

I use rapier and brace of pistols. Rapier can clear a crowd and has a nice quick power attack for piercing armor. Brace of pistols is not really a sniper, but at medium range it can one shot some specials. It's also handy for those "Oh ♥♥♥♥ a patrol just materialized in our faces" moments as well. You can easilly clear an entire storm vermin patrol. Everybody seems to think repeater xbow is better, but my pistols do almost 1,000 mor damage, no slow reload time and offers sufficient AP. The xbows are garbage, volley xbow is ok, but the single shot is garbage, don't use it.

Check out Rapier + Dodge side to side while fighting. You'll see your survivability rise immediately.

As WHC stack crit chance on your items and tag everything you can. Use your ulti to stun bosses at the right time or when your team gets overwhelmed. Its more of a supportive role, you help out the specialised careers instead of specialising yourself, somewhat of an allrounder. Good weapons are Falchion/Rapier and BoP/Volley Xbow.

As Bounty Hunter, you stay in range, you are a specialised career. Make sure your ranged weapon has the trait for getting 2 ammunition on every crit, for infinite ammo (Doesnt really work with BoP). Good weapons are Falchion and Volley Xbow/Repeater Pistol. Crossbow can be useful too.

I dont have anything for Zealot, since i only main WHC and played a little BH because of meta.

For Falchion, use the light attack + light attack + block sequence against waves. Have 2 stamina on your necklace, to get an extra shield on Falchion, because itself needs attack speed and crit chance as properties.

Saltzpyre doesn't have the best health but his dodge slide is passively better than most people.
I think Kruber's feels the worst of the three as it's more of a "HRMPH" when he sidesteps vs most others.

Bounty hunter with talents for reload speed and free ammo on crit. flail, repeater crossbow with trait for crits restoring 2 ammo for each hit.

flail takes care of shielded specials and cc if you can use it with pushes (or blocks as needed)
melee normal chain is 4 hits, with first two opening a shield and last 2 being easy headshots for a kill.
first hit of normal attack can be subbed by a charged attack. useful for leading up to a wide angle hit ahead.
if you put in pushes between every 1-3 hits you should be able to handle hordes.

crossbow and traits for infinite ammo. do charged attacks for 6 ammo back (more if they pierce) each shot plus A LOT of damage with piercing

alternate one melee kill to reset crit then switch to bow for a charged shot. then repeat, or extra charged shots for more kills if needed. hordes are your infinite ammo pool.

should make things pretty easy even on legend. by far the best of any build or combo i've tried. flail takes some getting used to but fills a gap his other weapons don't.

Victor is the most versatile class, and probably the most enabled for survival. Play the middle class - Inquisitor i think its called? Use your F attack on chaos warriors and bosses, use the flail for horde clearing/black rats, and use your pistol/brace of pistols/whatever on specials. He can tackle anything. He doesn't excel in any one area ( Except maybe 1-hitting chaos warriors and insta-killing them with his F attack) but he's strong overall. That is until they nerf him, which I'm sure they will.

- Reach level 15 at least.
-Pick bounty hunter despite his silly-looking helmet.
-Equip falchion and volley crossbow. On bow choose trait scrounger. (important)
-learn to use dem weapons (optional)
-Cowabunga!
