Please make an official Third person camera or Whitelist Thirperson mod

Hi Fatshark,

please allow people to play in third person, Cosmetics are pointless unless one can play in third person. Please allow this mod so people can enjoy the game more.

honestly that will be asking for BIG TORTURE and want to hate your own live lol since this game whas not maked to be 3 person and imagen if you drop down in a small walk way where your camara cant even see you

plus planetside 2 hase alot costmetics call of duty hase it too Battlefield aswell and they doing pretty well

so i wont see Fathshark even alow this or change there game for it

PS this is not a hate or anything just Expressing my Opinion on this

We have no plans to implement or whitelist the mod. The gameplay is designed for the first person perspective.

There are players with many hours on the 1st Vermintide using 3rd person, the game ran completely fine with it, and the same was the case for the version on V2. I’m sure I’m not the only player that bought V2 because of being able to play V1 in 3rd person (with other helpful mods), assuming the V2 mods situation wouldn’t turn out this bad.

Pretending that the implementation of 3rd person is an issue for this game, be it through a mod or not (since the devs should have implemented it themselves tbh) is disgustingly dishonest, this answer makes no sense, it has been proven on BOTH games that the game plays fine with 3rd person, 3rd person does NOT affect other players in any way, and helps the player able to use it tremendously, both in raw enjoyment and not having to deal with all the annoying issues that 1st person brings upon certain players. This isnt like other lazy games where 1st person was used to cut corners and a lot is missing, we know its functional, we know it’s not cheating (it can be considered a handicap when it comes to ranged), I can’t think of any reason other than malicious intent, to have denied this for so damn long.

Just because a 3rd person mod is functional, doesnt mean it doesnt screw with other aspects of the game if it was an actual part of the game. The whole game balance would have to be changed, the animations would have to be remade(to actually fit the 1st person animations, yes there are differences), the spawning system must be different(cuz the camera is behind you not in your head), you have to make sure the camera doesnt clip through wallls while moving or gets stuck somewhere(the tight corners in Rightous Stand, oh lord). And guess what? If you wanna play 3rd person, there you go. There is the mod. Go in the modded realm and play there.
This is a first person game, third person would screw so much with the game if it WAS from the devs themselfs. A mod only changes one aspect of the game, but if it was a game feature they have to rethink all mentioned points and probably more.

Yes it totally does as you have insanely better view, hence it is basically a soft cheat, since the game heavily relies on map awarness.
You want to have it, no problem you can have it at modded realm.

3rd person would completely negate the entire point of one of the key mechanics of the game. You have limited FOV, watch eachothers backs.

Its more than functional, have tested it myself for many hours, especially in the case of V1, I know all these excuses are BS, and whatever incredibly minor things it may “screw” (which again I can’t really think of anything of significance), it’s something that the person installing a MOD, would be more than willing to deal with, any inconvenience like the ones you mention (which I know are not the case personally anyways) would be on the player to take on himself, and since it’s a mod, the developers had that as a scapegoat, them not allowing the mod has no tangible excuse.

Again I know, and im sure many others tha have played the game in 3rd person know, it doesn’t “screw so much with the game” that is factually false, and most importantly, it screws NOTHING with the games of others.

like i say my opinion how i take on this game with 3 person and for me its a no go but that about it you can think its amazing but not for me that all
