The dummies do in fact show damage x100 because (paraphrasing here) "players prefer seeing bigger numbers".
They only show damage increases from power vs infantry (the unarmored one) and power vs armoured (the...armoured one). Talents that require actual living enemies such as Merc/BattleWizard/Zealot's power increase per x amount of enemies nearby will not activate with the dummies, neither will Shade's backstab bonus, nor will WHCaptain's tag work on the armoured unit, but you can at least test other things out such as the Barrage and Hunter traits, and Slayer's Trophy Hunter.
There definitely need to be at least one dummy for every enemy type.
Personaly, i feel that half damage numbers are unsightly. It just doesnt look right. Why does the damage system use half numbers? i have no idea.
