How does weapon damage work
I downloaded the bestiary mod in the workshop and it shows that a basic skaven slave has 7.5 health on legendary yet when I hit the dummy in the courtyard with a rapier it says i'm doing 600 damage but when I go into game I can't 1 shot a slave

I THINK that the game is multiplying my damage by 100 (so 6 damage goes to 600) for no reason. Can anyone confirm or tell me how damage for weapons ACTUALLY works?

That's correct. At one point the dummies did say the actual damage but I guess people didn't like seeing decimals so they made it look like huge numbers instead.

the thing about the dummies too is that they don't accept certain modifiers like monster chaos etc, and some talents don't show up.

The dummies do in fact show damage x100 because (paraphrasing here) "players prefer seeing bigger numbers".

They only show damage increases from power vs infantry (the unarmored one) and power vs armoured (the...armoured one). Talents that require actual living enemies such as Merc/BattleWizard/Zealot's power increase per x amount of enemies nearby will not activate with the dummies, neither will Shade's backstab bonus, nor will WHCaptain's tag work on the armoured unit, but you can at least test other things out such as the Barrage and Hunter traits, and Slayer's Trophy Hunter.

There definitely need to be at least one dummy for every enemy type.

"dummy"? You mean live targets? Lets just bind up a few on poles.
Because bigger numbers look more powerful and it is less confusing to use whole numbers instead of decimals.

Personaly, i feel that half damage numbers are unsightly. It just doesnt look right. Why does the damage system use half numbers? i have no idea.
