unlimited arrows?

played with some dude playing the first subclass of the archer and for most of the mission this guy was just using his bow to mow down enemy hordes, im honestly confused

why,what the point of range career if you can`t use range weapon whanever you want.

well because there isnt much ammo anyway and the shooting abilities at least for the archer and bounty hunter look more like special/boss killers than something you use on normal hordes, and because seeing the archer just spam arrows like its SMG is dumb

They dont spam arrows like smg. Smg has limited ammo and have to be reloaded sometimes:)

Using swiftbow --> 100 maximum ammo
Using crit chance attibutes --> 20% crit (1 crit out of 5 shots)
Using 'Scrounger' trait on bow --> critical hits restore 5% of maximum ammunition (= 5 ammo)

Sooo every 5 shots you restore 5 Ammo... (basically you only 'lose' ammo if you miss completely)

Thats just one way to get infinite ammo - there are others...

On top of that you can finetune your special skill to just refill your ammo completely in case you are a ranged dolt

The last talent for waystalker gives you a big chunk of ammo from killing elites or specials with your ult. On top of that, the pew pew bow has base 100 ammo on waystalker so you run the weapon perk (with increased crit and damage to chaos) that gives you 5% ammo per crit and it basically turns the shortbow into an infinite ammo minigun. Warbow also greatly benefits from this as well but it really pairs well with Shortbow.

The level 30 talent Kurnous’ Reward gives back 30% ammunition upon killing a special or elite with your ult. This stacks as well, so you can easily get back most of, if not all of your ammo with the right timing and targets. Waystalker also has double the normal amount of ammo compared to her other classes.

You also have 2 traits you can stick on a bow for re-gaining ammo, scrounger that gives back 5% of your ammo on a crit, or conservative shooter that essentially gives you your shot back on a headshot (headshots replenish 1 ammo).

The right talents, traits, and gear as well as knowing when best to use your ult means you the only way you will be short on ammo as waystalker is by using nothing but your bow the entire time and even then you can still essentially keep gaining ammo back.

There are multiple method to refill ammunition for every range class

Traits:
Conservative Shooter - Headshots replenish 1.0 ammo
Scrounger - Critical hits restore 5% of maximum ammunition

Classes:
Huntsman, Headshots replenish 1.0 ammo, with Conservative Shooter, u got 2 ammos for each headshot
He also got Cri chance Aura and increase 25% cri chance buff after scoring headshot, this make him also work very well with Scrounger

Waystalker, ult rewards 30% ammo for each Elites/Speicals killed

Bounty Hunter, every 6s u got a guarantee cri hit chance, with Scrounger u can restore 5% ammo every 6s

Ranger, Just shot everything in sight your whole team is infinite ammo !!!!

A lesser known way of generating ammo is the Trait "Conservative Shooter" on a bow and then doing very precise headshots into an incoming horde. Since bow shots pierce one foe and then hit another, that means if you fire an arrow through one enemy's head and then hit another enemy behind it in the head, too, you will have Conservative Shooter trigger *twice*, meaning you actually earn instead of lose an arrow. Conservative Shooter also triggers decently on Waystalker Ult against large hordes and can get a good chunk of arrows back even without killing any specials or elites in the mix.
