So I crafted my first veteran item...
My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.

Upgraded from exotic item to veteran item by spending 5 red dust and ended up with a red item with no red glow...

There is no red glow on veteran weapons (only with mods), they glow with purple or blueish colours. Upgrading a weapon does not reward you with a new/another "skin" for said weapon, those you have to either unlock doing achievements or collect via lootboxes. New skins can then after collecting them be applied to whatever weapon you fancy.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

People used to like the Bogenhafen skins, then they stopped when they came in cheap at the Emporium. It's the Apple delusion.

Pro suggestion:
once you get enough Red Dust, and craft or upgrade item from it, you should be rewarded with a Veteran glow skin for said weapon.

not that this will make difference, but you have red weapon but not with skin.
There is ZERO reason to keep you from geting that cosmetic skin ( glow ) stuff if you already have red dust etc . . .

It's to incentivize playing for ppl who want the skins. With your suggestion duplicates wouldn't matter and every 5 reds (duplicates or not) would be a red skin of your choice?

Agreed, there really isn't any reason to "punish" you for actually having enough red reclaim to craft items... you have to play many games anyway just to get that many unwanted reds... why not let you have the glow?

That sux man, the glow gives 50% more damage...

have 350 hours ingame, and im not ( personaly ) atracted to grind skins, they should be reward, not grind.

Yes thare are people with 1500 hours, and 50k opened crates, im not 1 of them.
so they can shove the grind somewhere else :P

I have less hours than you, I got nowhere near all red skins. I don't neccessarily disagree with your suggestions.

Also they still haven't added weave skins, I heard something about that but maybe it's just a rumor.

Understood, i think it's just a rumor, people talking about it " constantly ".
Personaly, i wish they had WoM skins available in main game with challenges or something :)

If this was some kind of functional disadvantage, you might have a point. But its a cosmetic-item that everybody is supposed to unlock via gameplay. This is in no way punishment for people who craft red weapons. What you are actually trying to say is, that the rewards suck and the grind is to annoying and should be more userfriendly. And to that, I'd agree. But on a list of priorities this is, probably the most unimportant one.

It makes PP 50% harder. Without glow it is a waste.
