Drakegun 'without' Under Pressure worth it?
DISCLAIMER: I know drakegun is a polarizing weapon, but the friends I play with do 'not' mind my taking this weapon, and I no longer play Vermintide with randoms. It's either set group or Bots for me. So I'm not looking for a debate on the weapon itself.

I'm just asking if anyone thinks Drakegun is worth using 'without' the Under Pressure Talent, since the other talents in that row are much, much more useful. Power for a nearby ally is 'always' useful, whereas the drakegun itself is situational, making Under Pressure likewise situational.

So, if I'm not using Under Pressure, should I switch to another ranged weapon?

flamethrower is good with and without it. But the drakefire pistols... dont use them. Its just maybe an fun weapon, but ultimatly weak weapon.
Damage and stagger wise the flamethrower is the same, has about 1m longer range. And it even has the ability to stagger a bunch of elites with the primary fire, making it pretty easy to take care of patrols if there is an tight coridor around.
While pistoles are just, bad.

Under Pressure is more about the lack of overcharge slowdown than anything. If the slowdown isn't an issue, go with Blood of Grimnir

If you've got good team mates that can easily snipe specials then the drake gun is always a good choice to melt away hordes.

debatable. unless that 5% changes a damage or stagger breakpoint then it actually does nothing at all.

This is true.

Absolutely. A lot of players will tell you it sucks, but on the other end of the spectrum a lot of genuinely great players (Like Royale w/ Cheese) will tell you its good with a few caveats. You lose special sniping on IB but gain arguably one of the best horde-delete options in the game.
Drakegun is fine without under pressure. The talent is mainly for the removal of slowdown.

However under pressure makes the drakegun very capable when combined with barrage. Easy melt of SV pats and even chaos pats minus CW unless you have a STR pot.

Drake gun w/o under pressure is mostly fine, but I'd suggest putting in dmg vs skaven and dmg vs infantry (for gutters and gunners) or skaven & monsters (for hookrats) along with barrage. Otherwise you'll struggle with specials.

On cata, Drake gun kinda struggles even with under pressure. It's a fun weapon, and definitely viable, but nearly every other choice is going to be more effecient. When I use IB, I personally swear by the trollhammer. There is a LOT of value in being a one-dwarf-army vs pats and monsters.
