Waystalker is able to obliterate him 1 on 1, other heroes (for example, with shotguns) will also kick it in the ass with ease
Its not hard... with the right character builds in play.
Without the item boxes at the start of levels like we had in VT1 its unfair to have levels or bosses like this.
I've had more than one match where the random QP party just didnt have the damage output to deal with him, its doable with team without boss damage, but its a slow grind that is far more difficult than anything else in the game.
Most random pubs that fail this boss fight never conserve their resources for his flying phase.
Save your bombs, pots and ults for this flying phase, and ONLY this phase.
Resist that urge to pull out your bomb for trash mob pls.
Go ham on him when he starts flying.
[Also, keep an eye on GK or elf, flying boss will try to kill the dps first]
you see that floor glow and go "oh, ok i'll die then."
The problems are coming from the average legend player. They are clueless about gear, clueless about required playstyle and when things go south, they hold block for as long as they have stam then they die.
Its easy until he starts flying.
Save purple potion for damage ult characters at the floating part.
save grenades and ammo for the floating part
do not do anything if hes focusing on you while hes flying, just defend and dodge, let your team mates do the work (it is a coop game after all)
If you gonna shoot him, push enemies first, one shot at a time(unless you are invisible), don't be greedy.
Its easy to understand but hard to execute since aditional enemies gonna keep you under pressure, but don't panic, keep a calm awareness of everything around you, watch your step, manage your enemies, snipe the boss, repeat until its over.
Ofc a full rangers team will struggle af compared to melee focused groups with a few boss killers, but isn't that already present in the game ? Some maps are heavily boss focused, that one above the others. I don't take it as a bad design. You're either fine with dealing with whatever mission the game throws at you and be rewarded with an extra end score, or choose your map.
