How to see damage in numbers over the enemy?
Maybe there is some kind of mod or I did not see it in the settings, but how to turn on the numerical values of damage over enemies?

Otherwise, it is very difficult to build a build only on a dummy

If you want to optimize your build the breakpoint calculator is what you want.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Vermintide/comments/cojve1/damage_calculator/
That way you can figure out how many power vs you need with your build to reduce the hits to kill on a certain enemy by 1.

can someone give a reason why that mod isnt approved?
could really help people trying to fine tune builds without having to go over to the modded realm

Mostly because it's not something we have in mind for the game we set out to make. Typically mods get approved when they're something that compliments the design goals of the game, as opposed to going against it. Stuff like Enemy Health Bars (for chaff) and Floating Combat Numbers go against some of the core tenets of Vermintide.

No trouble bud!
The only thing that annoys me about dummies is A) some talents that require “killing” wont work on them, and B) you can’t lose health at the Keep, so stuff like Zealot’s stack won’t work either. It’d be nice if you could simulate either of those things in the official realm

Use the creature spawner with damage numbers in modded realm. If you start hosting a game but not actually go into the portal, the creatures you spawn will be at the same level as the difficulty you've set the game at - otherwise spawned enemies default to recruit level HP.

This way you can test champ/leg/cata builds or whatever you're doing with it.

Can you explain a bit more?

Why is it against your design goals for the game to have damage numbers?

If sanctioned, such a mod would

a) not disrupt the experience of other players
b) optional, meaning people who don't like it won't have to use it

What is the issue?

I remember seeing a mention of Damage Numbers being cheesy when paired with DoT weaponry/talents on specials that teleport away as it effectively gives away their location

Yeah, with damage numbers it becomes possible to "game the game" so to say and do stuff like direct people to a certain enemy because "he's low" or whatever, and I can see why the devs wouldn't want that. I personally wouldn't like it either.

1. With all the gore and dismemberded bodyparts and hordes i couldnt see anything else anyway.
2. It would break my immersion and i really like the atmosphere in this game.
3. Make it toggleable. Having choices never hurts and me and other people that dont need it wont be affected.
