I have not yet tried playing by myself with bots supporting me, but the amount of stupid and/selfish players I've been encountering for this past few days is pushing me to play with bots. (Not all of my friends are interested in leveling other characters, they are busy trying to get better in Champion mode. I'm too gutless for that.)
I mained a single character until my weapon power level rose above 220. Now I have 4 characters under level 10 that literally can't get loot upgrades unless I play champion, but nobody wants low-level players in their party.
/facepalm
This, I levelled up my Bardin to 30 and hammered out 40+ commodity boxes to raise his gear ive been levelling up the other 4 at the same pace but I've found that even though they can have 400+ hero power at level 12+ no one wants to run champion with someone around that level,
Seems like this is a solid idea if you want to hammer out levels to get to the point where people wont kick you for being too low.
Or we could start displaying hero power along side level ;)
& a single player game
Nothing teaches you more than failing. People who think they are really good, are the usually the idiots who cause wipes the most.
