How do you get cosmetics for your player?

Ive been playing for some time now and the only thing I get in chests is weapons, and the only vanity items ive gotten for my clothes are owning the first game, is there any way to get vanity items besides getting the collectors edition?

Yeah. I love 99% of this game but the way they have gone about the cosmetics is extremely disappointing.

Have fun playing on nothing but legenday, all the time, constantly if you even want a chance to get a friggin HAT

And since I heard it's something like 2% chance (which seems to be backed up by NO ONE having a single one in all the matches i've played) then enjoy doing it about 98 times successfully, before getting anything, give or take

Meh, it doesn't bother me. Nobody is looking at my character model during a game, and it's not like I'm looking at my own.

a legend difficulty emperors chest has about 17 % red item drop rate from what has been data mined
Dont want to try your best ? Just speed run an easy map with no tomes / grims for a peasants chest that has a 3.4% drop rate for a red
Now what are the chances for getting a cosmetic i dont know but if youre dedicated you can easily farm reds with a team.

An in-game currency would solve this problem. Money stashes should be included in the random chests and/or randomly spawn as well as drop from kills and/or randomly from kills. This would promote players exploring.

The currency is used to buy skins for characters, weapons, loot chests, etc.. They could also add an option to buy with IRL money for character and weapons skins (non-combat pets?) ONLY. No IRL money option to buy loot chests!

only random cosmetic i've seen ingame so far is the double mohawk for the slayer, 120h+ played. opened crapton of chests myself, not a single cosmetic. aint complaining tho, i actually like that they're very rare.
