How to kill shielded Stormvermin?
Here's a situation I've been in (and lost, much to the chagrin of my team) 3 or 4 times: I'm against 2, 3, or 4 shielded Stormvermin. I'm playing the Bounty Hunter, using the Greatsword and triple crossbow. I have 4 stamina shields, no bombs, and 15 quarrels. There aren't any explosive hazards on the map, and all my teammates need reviving or rescued. What is the trick to consitently win so that me, my 2 friends, and the bloody elf can live to fight again?

Push/swing at the Shield a few times until their block breaks and staggers them, take out your crossbow, and shoot.

With multiple Shields, it's best if you find a ledge however small to make them either climb or drop down from; their defense is down through the duration of their climb and dropping animations. Shoot them during that.

I can deal with one, it's just when there are a bunch of them and I can't push them all without being hit myself Dx

If you have a build with no AP capabilities whatsoever you will always have bad time with them in 1 v many situation.

Bombs, hitscan ranged weapons, invisibility and backstabs, weapons with innate AP or have fast enough spam attack to constantly keep them staggerred.

Also i believe all damage dealing ults will also one shot them.

I know. But I don't have any of those. The Bounty Hunter's special, while it can kill Chaos Warriors in one hit, is useless when it comes to a tiny scrap of triangular metal. Watermelons has confirmed that edges are the only real way to kill them in my situation, because thier shields aren't up when they're going up or down them

It's a design flaw of certain classes that they have enemies that they're extremely ineffective against whilst there are also classes which are pretty much jack of all trades.

At this point you can take it or leave it. Ultimately it's still a team game so i assume the intended design is for shielded SV to be handled by either multiple players at once or by class that can actually effectively dispose of them.

Also saltys flail is a good way to deal with shields.
But its over all not the best or easiest weapon to use.

If your weapon can't cleave then your best bet is a bomb to stagger them and then get help. If your weapon can cleave then heavy swings will often bump a lot of them back, but you need great timing. Othrewise, push and hope.

If it is just one shield, when pushing, hold the left click, it follows up the push with a weapon swing that usually hits while the shield holder is staggered.

Basically, the way for a single player to handle a pack of shield holders is that they don't. You either killed most of them before they got to melee range, or you have help. Because if you don't, you aren't very likely to get through very easily.

double push then switch to ranged or double push power attack
Dont use greatsword on BH then.
Falchion just spams Shields with light attack to death
Flail.
Actually, dont use GS on any WH classes, because of this, you cant effectively deal with armor and shields at all. All his ranged options do no help with this problem.
While Kruber is okay with GS, with handgun and heavy stun abilities.

Yeah if you don't want to have to go through the process of using the correct number of attacks and/or pushes to first lower their guard, just skip all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and use the one weapon in the game that is specifically designed to bypass shields with every attack. If you don't like it for whatever reason, switch to the falchion instead. It's better than the 2h sword in just about any situation anyway, especially for the greatly superior mobility it affords you. The 2h sword isn't completely lame, but it is a terrible fit for the Bounty Hunter, compared to the other 5 classes it's available on.

Short answer - flail.

for me its always light attack once, hard attack once, he will open up, dodge to the side and one shot hard attack on his open side.

I mean, consistently as your answer was, you will probably die, but with experience you can be a hero.
