what is the point of veteran items in V2
i mean, they had double trait in vermintide but as far as i've seen they hold no real advantage over oranges now
am i missing something?

Traits are specially on Exquisite (Orange) items and up that are a pool of bonus effects applied to your character and do not need rerolling unless you want a different trait. Traits are dead set in stone with their effects, properties are not unless they are Veteran (Red) items.

White: Only item power
Green: Item power + 1 property
Blue: Item power + 2 properties
Orange: Item power + 2 properties + trait
Red: Item power + 2 set (perfect) properties + trait

Please to keep in mind that Veteran items are not needed to tackle the hardest parts of the game. The statistics of properties do help reaching breaking points, and traits can redefine how you may utilize a weapon. Just focus on getting your item power to 300 and reach 650 hero power with decently rolled orange weapons.

Their traits have always the maximum value.

ight thanks for the info
still, it doesn't seem really fair that they are so underwhelming since the droprate is abysmal
(ye i said it)

The amount of time saved because of perfect stats is tremendous. As well it allows you to more reliably hit breakpoints and just be done with the god awful crafting system. Well worth it.

its definitly less annoying and time consuming to get specific properities with max values + glowy bright blue skin on weapons. but thats it

It's not so much that it's abysmal, it's the fact that it's so random. I can go a week plus with maybe 1-2 reds or sometimes just none. Other weeks I'll get more reds then I need (but of course, never one of the few I actually don't have).

It saves you from spending hundreds or thousands of dusts (and time obviously) on getting the perfect properties; you still will have to spend many dozens though even for veteran items to get the right properties. It makes the grind less of a grind, but still a grind.

The droprate isn't bad at all.

It's the complete lack of dupe protection that's the real problem. I went through some 20+ red weapons on dwarf without getting the dual axes (not including dozens of accessories in between that), finally crafted my own the moment red crafting went live, and then of course I got them a couple days later out of some vaults. Not long after that, I also got the second set.

It’s so there is no need for reds to play at highest difficulty, just skill.

They are Just a shiny reward for Long playtime like a token reward to charity.

Reds in V1 didnt have more traits than oranges. They both had 3 traits. Its just that their traits always rolled max percentage (as they do in v2). And a few combinations that werent posswible for oranges were the ones reds had (as reds had only two possible trait combinations iun v1.

V1 crafting system was so much better.

Getting max % stats wasn't this awful for sure.

The only thing I miss from the V1 crafting is the ability to reroll the values of the properties, without rerolling the properties themselves.

Not all of them did; I don't remember exactly which, but I think one of Sienna's staffs had a lower (regrowth?) value that you could otherwise get.

a lot of the red weapons in vt1 had less optimal traits than what you could roll on an orange weapon. For the most part, the orange weapons were better and collecting reds was just something to do.

i'm sorry but no red in 20+ emperor/general vaults doesn't seem like a good drop rate, coupled with no pity system it makes jack a dull boy

i don't agree with thatm double traits were almost always more usefull then a higher percentage on something (in my experience at least)

yes, can't we get the the deeds and weapons characteristics(traits/properties) system to be like V1? i mean why not? that system worked smoothly enough and was praised by the community when it came out

True. There were one or two reds that had higher or lower percentages.
So to be precise v1 had set traits and trait percentages for each item with two possible trait combinations per red.
