Is it normal for my CPU I5 7500 to set up only two hyperthreads for gaming?
The system hardware is not recognized in the settings of the launcher, only two of them can be used.
When there are more mice, it is only about 40FPS.:sadecho:

This is normal. Your CPU has 4 Threads, and 2 of them are reserved for other processes.
hi

the i5 have 4cores / 4threads and no hyper threading ;)
you can edit the user_settings.cfg and set the numbers of threads to 3 instead of 2...

If you can, you can optimize the number of hyper-threads in the game. Many of my friends playing this game have also had 4cores / 4threads. As soon as the mouse is more than fps, it is unstable.
Thanks for your answer :)

Its in appdata.
If you use windows 10 go in search section near "start' button and enter this line
%appdata%

There you would see "fatshark" folder. Proceed there.

should look like this if you use win 10

C:\Users\username-pc\AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\user_settings.cfg

open the .cfg with editor and search for :

max_worker_threads ( enter the number of threads you want )

and

process_priority ( change this entry to "high" )

I set it to 4 in the .cfg as well but when I start the game there are 2 in the launcher settings. So probably it uses 2 in your case as well.

Check to NOT have "read-only" in both file properties and in folder properties, it may interfere.

thats normal that the slide-bar and max number in the launcher dont change, but it should be no more red like before ;)
and you should notice a higher cpu ussage

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the game uses 2 "main" threads and a variable amount of "worker" (additional) threads. So if your system has 4 threads and you set 2 worker threads in launcher settings, it means that the game will use all 4 threads. I think if you set 4 worker threads by changing your config file it won't affect anything. (Although setting Process Priority to High might improve the performance.)
When I was using an older i5 CPU with 4 threads, the CPU load was close to 100% with either 2 worker threads set via launcher, or 4 worker threads set via config.

so if you have actual 4 core cpu .setting up 3 cores in confiq can cause issues and unwanted behavior in game it seems

i have first haswel cpu 3.1 ghz
