is there a way to stop people joining my game?
i dont wanna sound mean and stuff, but characters level 6 or 7 joining my "high" difficult games is purely annoying and breaks the "fun" to play the game for completely, in special because theres not even host kick, only votekick.

soo.... is there a way to stop low levels joining high difficult games?
or is the only way to set my lobby to private?

set it to private and miss the quickplay bonus or start a quickplay match and hope you load in before people join, if you hit tab and right click you can turn the match to private in the bottom right corner, and you'll still get a QP bonus.

so sadly thats the only way for me?
cause i actually like to play with other people, i just dont want no level 3 character joining my veteran games and people level 10 joining champion games. i dont even know why this is even possible by default, fatshark should change that.

cause it totally breaks my gaming experience.

tbh a lvl 3 should be fine within Veteran difficulty, its basically "normal" difficulty, and lvl 10 is fine for champion. Only in legendary should you be worried about these things.

no its not fine, they go down every 2 seconds and waste potions like theres no tomorrow.

level cap should be 7 for veteran and 14 for champion. they should scrap that gear point stuff and bound difficulties to levels instead of power points.

i still dont wanna be mean but EVERY player below level 7 is way worse than any bot.

if you remove the 'gear point stuff' then people with lvl 30 heroes decked out in reds would be excluded by your system if they chose to level up a new character. You will never have a system that removes bad players and keeps good players because no numbers in the world can tell them apart, a bad player can be lvl 1 or lvl 30 with either the best gear in the world or the worst.

The only options you have is self moderation through either playing private, or inviting friends to exclusively play with.
There is a "level" cap for higher difficulties unless it was removed. If your character doesn't have a high enough power level then they are unable to go into a higher difficulty. If you have any character that meets that requirement, then any character regardless of power level can play on that difficulty.

You don't need a certain level for veteran, that's ridiculous. It's not even hard. Don't blame people's skill on their level.
Starbelly Geek Feb 10, 2019 @ 7:37pm
Ought to have a power level minimum even at lower level difficulties, though. Playing a fight against Bodvarr with three characters who can't even scratch the heartser is heartsing hearts.
Unfortunately, there's no level at which people won't go zipping forward past a boss trigger in the middle of a horde to take a potshot at a patrol.

I leveled all my other characters from level 1 on Champion. If I had to play recruit-veteran for 14 levels I'd probably just quit the game instead lol.

maybe you should try to help them instead of trying to be an elitist when you can barely complete a level on champion lol

this is actually how it should be: -start a new character, -start from the beginning again, no matter what gear you got.

thats the point, its not hard for you, but it is for certain low level players cause they dont understand the game mechanics. thats exactly what im talking about, and i dont want this people in my game. so yes, i blame their skill. low level "usually" means "low play time" means literally no idea what to do.

and i will probably quit the game if im forced to either play with low level mob feeders or play solo. wouldnt be such a bad problem if there was host kick.

helping them is the worst thing to do, cause usually you put yourself in danger by helping them, just to see them go down again 2 seconds after you picked them up. so: NO, i started to just leave them die...cause if they die they leave the game, they usually dont wait like 2 minutes till you can untie and rescue them.

so its the best way to get rid of those players, just ignore them and let them die, this is right now the most effective way to make them leave actually.

thats sadly not a way to solve the problem since no one i know owns this game, and even if there would be people i know that own the game, who says they wanna play it when i wanna play it?

this is probably the most stupid advice in human computer match making history.

Your thread is the most stupid thing tho.

There are plenty lvl 30s even on champ who dies on first cw or patrol and then blames other party members.
