Vermintide 1 skins don't work with Vermintide 2 hats

I was really happy to see that fatshark kept the old skins from Vermintdie 1, unfortunately the skins do not work with the hats of Vermintdie 2 so you are always locked with the default hat which is a bit sad. It is another model i understand but is it really that difficult to allow players to use the old skins with the new hats? I noticed that a lot of player a wishing for it but it never happend until now. Anyone knows if this is planed or any idea how we can do a shoutout to fatshark about such a topic? I would be also interested if other people see it as me.

Fatshark never spoke about it so I assume they want us to forget about it since they aren't going to do it.

having v1 hats unlocked for every character subclass would be more intresting than alternative skin for basic class.

We've no short term plans for this. It might be a pet project that a player could undertake when the expanded modding tools become available though. :)

They did and confirmed it's by design due to the fact that VT2 hats would most likely not fit VT1 models properly in all cases so to rule those out they restricted that option entirely.

Is it really too much to ask for the old V1 hats (which are quite a few in here) to work with those skins, if nothing else? Things like the lion's head helm for FK that should really be on Merc as well, Waystalker's Horns of Kurnous or w/e it's called that used to be the V1 collector's edition hat...why mockingly include that if you aren't going to make it work for the V1 outfit?

I never saw anyone get a response to that question so I guess I just assumed they didn't want to talk about it. Still from Hedge's response they answer was still a big no so I wasn't too far off.
