Possibility of a Fatshark-developed Age of Sigmar game?
I think it's safe to say that the Warhammer 40,000 license is just cursed at this point, and it would be far more realistic to hope for an Age of Sigmar game from the people behind Vermintide because that will be the closest thing to a good Warhammer 40,000 game.

I think Games Workshop's stance in regards to AoS is "it's here to stay". While i am personally ambivelant towards the IP itself, i feel like the folks currently working with WHFB are missing an opportunity to use AoS to draw in the 40K crowd for their games and honestly, i'd gobble up an AoS game because of the merit of being the closest thing to a good 40K game.

I mean, a 40K fan might not necessarily be interested in Total War: Warhammer, though the inclusion of a Space Marine analogue could make Total War: Age of Sigmar more attractive.
There is absolutely NO gurantee that a AoS game will be better than a 40k game, even thinking it will possibly come close to that is entirely dumb.
There arent proper AoS games for a reason, the developers know that nobody and their mother likes the setting.

Besides Space Marines arent everything if anything theyre the reason why Fantasy was killed and turned into 40k light.
Except... there are video games already? Small stuff because, surprise surprise, a video game studio will not go "ooooh! New IP I know nothing about! Gonna start working for 2-4 years and make a game for it" at all.

You mean nobody want to play fantasy space marines?

Hopefully never, AoS's world is incredibly dull despite how incredibly hard it's trying to be epiiiik space fantasy crap.

The 40k license is in a terrible slump, no doubt about it.

Deathwing was a sometimes fun, but deeply flawed game that had a troubled launch, nearly non-existant support and communication from the developer, and it never recovered. The attempt to have a restart with the Enhanced Edition just didn't work out. You only have one chance for a first impression and Deathwing blew it. I still think the environments in the game are great, though. It's worth getting on sale if you like 40k.

As for Age of Sigmar, I don't know all that much about the setting to be honest. I guess I'd be ok with it if GW is no longer willing to license out the old world. Otherwise, I'd prefer to stay in the old world, honestly.

Considering 40k Mechanicus , Martyr(to an extent) , Tactics , Gladuis, and Deathwing EE( was my first experience with 40K and i freaking loved it) , i think 40K is actually doing decent right now. Sure not hitting it immensely big or hitting a dam gold mine but all of the above are fairly solid games.

Fantasy is defintely doing better but we do have Necromunda on the way for another 40K game made by the guys who did Mordheim so thats pretty much a solid slot for another good 40K game.

Deathwing did what it set out to do and does very well as a first person experience of a Space Hulk. But despite what it had, the lack of real replaybility and the questionable loadout system and all kinda made it more meh. I think with those two things done better it could of been a lot better game. That being said i don't regret my purchase of the EE version of the game and im glad i got it.

Repent before its too late and your soul gets touched by whatever force made GW making aos.

Well, i consider they failed at this game, so there is no reason to assume game set in age of sigmar will be good, considering that aos itself is hated by many, for a reason.

AoS is significantly inferior compared to WFB in many ways, and is not viewed in a positive light by most.

I remember the table top being released during the mid 90s, shame it didn't quite take off though. Same with advanced space crusade. Isn't road warrior on the way also?

It eventually got the Necromunda Hive Wars one which is much more recent, i saw the opening of that on youtube, pretty snazzy. Quite different from the original one from the looks of it.

The game coming out is based on Hive Wars. As for Road Warrior i have no idea. At least we can be sure Necromunda at the very least will be pretty solid.
