How to remove the illusion of a weapon

I have not played for a long time. Today I started the game and noticed that you can not remove the illusion from the weapon in order to store it for another weapon. What happened?

You now store illusions for infinite use and can just apply the over illusions.
You get stored illusions when you get that specific illusion in your inventory once.

I understand that now the illusion drop from the box as an illusion, not a weapon with illusion?
And can I calmly craft weapons with illusion? OK THX for help.

Bogenhafen Boxes drop just an illusion not a weapon.
All other chests drop the actual weapon with the illusion.
Illusions are now stored once they're unlocked and can be used infinitely.
As far as I know crafted weapons cannot have an illusions.
The reds/veteran item upgrade system does not give the red illusion but retains the old.

As soon as you get a weapon with an illusion it will save it "forever" with infinite amount of uses. So you can delete the item and not have to worry if you took out the illusion, and since its unlocked you just have to worry about putting it on a weapon.
