Yet there are cheats that exploits EAC weaknesses and let you cheat in game. But again, if you get caught with it or EAC suddenly decide to fix this security holes - you pretty much screwed at this point.
Btw you cant launch game w/o EAC. so..
There is a "Modded Realm" that allows all mods, even cheat mods, to gather. Although it's also restricted, last I heard there was a Cosmetics Giver mod that was removed by the developers.
I have my doubts "Modded Realm" means no rules, EAC probably still functions there, if it spots you using a trainer you're doomed.
For your next videogame encounters, general thumb would be to know if the game is singleplayer or not (Vermintide 2 is purely multiplayer, solo-play is still multiplayer) and has an anti-cheat function or not.
Source: My own boredom and curiosity on how EAC works in different games
Ppl being mad about ppl cheating in a PVE game XDXDXDXD
I knew that the game was always online, solo or not. I guess I was just more curious as to what the difference between the realms was, modded or not and if progress could be carried between the two.
Far Cry 5 says hi.
You simply rename a folder, maybe a few other things. So yeah, EAC is completely circumventable.
Atleast cheats arent that big of an issue in vt2.
The main reason I asked initially is because sometimes it's just nice to mess around solo, or for testing purposes. I'd not risk catching a ban though, especially in a PVE game, ha. But yeah, EAC is certainly flawed.
If you check processes you will see it still working. ANd if you try to block it anyhow you would be unable to launch game. At least i found no way for it, apart from direct exploits of EAC security, which is blatant cheating.
I suspec tyou talk about config file for launcher that indeed contain this string. Yet, as i said before, it would take no effect on a game. At least it was so in 1.1 (have not checked since then)
Bad or not people still get banned for cheating somewhere or another, if not then more matches would be full of people with God Mode or some ridiculous increase in attack/movement speed. Which is the main reason something like that could be annoying in the first place despite the game being PvE
