PS4 Controller Support?

game works "fine" with my busted xbox 1 controller. problem is, xbox makes pi ss poor controllers that have cheap plastic bumpers that break off if your controller slides off a couch cushion and onto the floor. both my bumpers are taped on cause i refuse to give xbox another dime of my sweet cash until they figure out how to put a rechargeable battery in their $60 controllers.
so for now, i either play games with my keyboard and mouse or use my ps4 controller. it doesn't work with this game, however. is there some trick i need to do or does it simply not have ps4 controller support? cause i see ps controller button layout is an option

i think i saw in another discussion that someone figured out if you go to steam's settings and click the controller tab in steam setting, you can select general controller settings and check the box next to ps4 controller setup. i also renamed my controller and identified it with steam and it now lets me change the colors and brightness of the light on the ps4 controller. i can also use it in game, but it shows xbox controls and i still can't use the d-pad.
i think that's a problem with the game, though.

My PS4 controller works fine. Download DS4Windows and SCP toolkit to install drivers for wireless functionality. You need to connect it by wire first though.

Also, the best thing about using a PS4 controller is since the swipe pad can be used as a mouse, if you bind dodge only to left mouse, you can use it on your left click on your pad. I found this to be invaluable.

there's no need for ds4 windows. you can connect a ps4 controller to pc via bluetooth without it. also, it's not compatible with them. trying to use ds4 will make the controller stop working.

yeah, i thought this was my far cry discussion, not vermintide. forgot i also made one for this.

also, again, there's still no need for ds4. you should be able to play all your games without it. i can. it's never worked for me if i tried using that program.
