Easy anti-cheat not installed?

Getting this error and crash after it stating "Easy anti-chat not installed" Played fine yesterday?

to fix it, navigate to the install folder of the game: Warhammer Vermintide 2 > installers > EasyAntiCheat and in this directory run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

the problem was most likely caused by uninstalling another game using EasyAntiCheat, and the service got uninstalled along with the game.

Happened to me after uninstalling Watch Dogs 2. After checking, I found that it indeed uses the same anti-cheat. Repairing using the installer in "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat" solved the issue.

Happened to me after uninstalling Watch Dogs 2. After checking, I found that it indeed uses the same anti-cheat. Repairing using the installer in "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat" solved the issue.

If you get error 1072 while trying to install easyanticheat, this guide helped me fix it:

Note that I had to either run this with Steam closed or restart Steam for it to work.

Vermintide was definitely closed with no process running, repaired via the 'EasyAntiCheat_Setup' file, finished, the game still did not work. Same error occurred.

Exited Steam and ran one more time. Everything worked after.

Sorry, not sure if the Steam restart or the running with Steam closed was the answer, but may as well do both to be sure!
