Stamina vs Block cost reduction
So i was wondering what is considered better / how much stamina do i need to have for block reduction to be better?
all based on the highest possible neck roll of 2.0 stamina vs 30% cost reduction

It depends with what weapons you block. Dwarf shield for example has 7 stamina. So the reduction would be better. With 3 stamina weapon the +2 stamina is better

ye thought so. i am considering to either put +stamina or block reduction on my red necklace and was wondering what is better in general. i guess +stamina is better on most classes and speccs

what do you do more often?
if you just block - block cost reduction is better.
if you push - stamina is better.

also what character you're using
unchained sienna has built in block cost reduction so stamina is better on her
foot knight kruber has built in stamina so block cost reduction is better on him (on the other hand if you take "hold ground" on lvl25 then you might want to ignore the block cost reduction entirely)

etc.

on top of that you can have character with fast stamina regeneration (read handmaiden) so with trait on stamina regen and less stamina on block she have almost infinite stamina.

I'm not sure what the cap is, but I think the most stam you can have is like, 9. If you already have 7 stamina, I would go with the block cost reduction imo. Honestly, it looks like light attacks take 1/2 a shield, and any attacks from outside of your effective block angle is 1 shield. So if you're going to do 30% block reduction, I think you'd be able to take 2.1 shields in extra damage. So 4 light attacks, or 2 from outside your block angle.

Current stamina is 7 but effective due to block reduction is like, 9.1. Since 30% blocked of 7 would be 2.1

I think both are equally important. I got +2 stam on my necklace and 30% block reduct on my weapon.

thing is, i am mainly rolling it for unchained and i rly pref the block angle cause sienna doesnt have a big block angle weapon and its kinda important to block with that spec

What's even the point of all of these "Block Cost Redux" Talents. They seem like utter trash. Especially when they're on Pyromancer and the like.

If it works out how I wrote it works above, then its entirely situational on your setup. If you gain more "proxy" stamina from the reduction in stamina via block cost %, then its obviously better to use it. But you'd have to reach a certain point where block cost reduction by % > stamina

block cost reduction increase the value of stamina regeneration.
