Why do peeps dislike the Bounty Hunter?

A relatively large number of people complain about BH being overpowered. I main Bounty Hunter (WH Captain too, great support dude) and I don't see the issue. Yes, I often one-two shot specials and elites before anyone even gets to them, and I get how annoying this can be, but that is the point of this class. Quickly getting rid of specials and dealing considerable ranged damage to bosses are the only two things that BH is made to do. He can do fine in melee, especially against armoured targets (love me my rapier and falchion), but he has to be careful against large groups and has to skillfully use his talents and passives in order to converse ammunition, otherwise it's bye bye to 50% of char's usefulness.

Rather than complain about the ♥♥♥♥♥ Hunter, you better enjoy how I... he saves you from all those bazillion Gutter Runners, Leeches, Blightstormers and Aspiring Champions. Oh, and sorry for the occasional friendly fire - I try hard not to Locked'n'Loaded into anyone's back, eh heh...

In the beta he could one shot bosses. He was rightfully nerfed and people are just salty over that. or see him a "useless" in comparison to his Beta days.

bounty hunter doesn't need to " skillfully use his talents and passives in order to converse ammunition", from 15-onwards he basically has unlimited ammo...

I haven't seen anyone calling the BH overpowered since the Beta. His ult was nerfed extremely hard and his ammo count was nerfed as well. Hes still a good ranged character but hes not as good as he used to be.

People are just gonna be that way. I've played plenty of coop games for the past 15-20 years and theres always a sour bunch in each one. Just the way things go. Its not as if every BH player is always OP, or every Sienna, etc. I main Saltz and played BH the most during the beta. But I haven't played it much since release since I like WH's support.

Either way, yeah. People are just gonna be people.

This is pretty spot on. There is always that one person that is better just to ignore the opinions of because they are either talking out of ignorance or salt.

They are either saying they are too OP, or too nerfed, it’s too easy, it’s too hard, they don’t like the elf as she talks too much- they are seriously complaining she has too much dialogue! Pathetic.

I just play the game - ignore them, these people are either mentally ill or just have nothing better to do other than moan or whine.

Even in game ignore them, someone yesterday was running miles ahead and calling us 3 that stayed in a group all the C and F words under the sun...needless to say he died a lot- hilarious.

This game is excellent but it does have a few rather weird players - thankfully not all but a few.

I love bounty hunter so much. It's everything my playstyle from V1 with saltzpyre was but evolved.
Don't see why people would be mad that he's a dedicated special killer, but then again the elf usually has that role so it becomes a stupid competition on who can kill the most fastest.

As for Kerillian, I think the complain's that she is a condescending ♥♥♥♥♥ and that her verbal behaviour gets tired really fast. She was just the right amount of an a-hole in VT1, but in VT2 she is plain too annoying to listen to. It reached the point, for me, when I'm glad there is no Kerillian in a team because I won't be called a lumbering mayfly by a badly-written bunch of pixels that her character is.
