Not to mention you still have good movement speed while attacking with it, which is what truly makes the thing so good compared to other 2h weapons in the game.
With that said, spear on handmaiden is a good option thanks to being able to spam the shove attack non stop.
This is why I stick with spear on HM. It's not just non stop, it's almost 360 around her also helping alot when your in the middle of a fight trying to revive a player. The extra speed and range is so good too when your sailing into hordes or taking out a hook rat for example.
As nice as the glave is, to get the most out of swift slaying, your have to max crit, and I went the other way and took more stam, +5 movement on my trinket which then opened up my options to take extra stam regen or dodge without being slowed down.
The skill which adds +15% power, and having 10% extra dam vs infantry means I wipe the floor with hordes, gaining massive temp health, smashing them about all over the place with my abilities, push, and hits.
With glave, It's just too slow, or leaves too little stam. I found I took more hits too overal with hordes. If I'm with a party, they often take care of SV, even I can or at least mess with them for ages. If I'm alone, I just bypass them and leave them scratching their heads as to where I've gone. Or worse, poison the lot of them with my bow.
Because Spear is worthless vs Armor.
Hm
Personally I find spear to be best on WS; her F will deal with anything but a CW in short order (I've actually had a case where I dropped 90% of an entire SV patrol with strength potion + F).
Shade, it's daggers or dagger and sword; your job is to delete bosses and CW; equipping anything else after the buffs seems silly. Daggers HS modifier is kind of funny. No weapon allows you to gib a special before they grab you but daggers does - charging a packrat in melee is rather entertaining so long as you're using daggers. With any other weapon you will be grabbed.
Handmaiden, no comment; don't play her.
