Best supportive class/character?
/title

I always liked being able to actively contribute to my team in any way possible so i've trying to unlock the more tanky/supportive classes for each character, and i just wanted some advice on which ones to focus on for this. I like the handmaiden since her stamina regen can help the dworf's blocking/pushing capabilities and the dworf's ranger skills can help every now and then. I also saw that kerillian can get a passive skill with her wayfinder class at level 15 that spreads her passive heal to everyone at a reduced amount, is that any good?

I can tell you this the heal you get from the wayfinder to give it to everyone isn't that strong its very helpful yes but most of the time i use it so we dont use pots when we have nothing to kill. For tanks i starting using the handmaiden (elf second class) its a class you HAVE TO do a good set up for. what i found to work for most tanks is incress your block range (so you can guard your back) and stam+ block cost reduction

the dwarf tank is very powerful pair him with a good flank tank (handmaiden) and your good plus his flamethrower

Foot Knight's Protective Presence aura is pretty useful but the range seems really short. In fact, all aura ranges seem a bit short. Ranger Veteran's drops from specials are pretty useful, especially at the level where they sometimes drop draughts. Bounty hunter is likely the best special killer in the game if you've got the aim for it. Just a few examples.
ya bounty hunter is a very powerful class. a friend one tapped after chugging a str pot the chaos champion

'best supportive class' is a team/teamate that works with the rest to get an operable loadout. e.g. if mage brings bolt staff, dorf brings flamethrower, if kruger brings dps hunts, dorf goes ironbreaker. etc.

Havent found a good use for Handmaiden stamina regen aura though, seems too slow to be useful considering you loose her regen and range damage

Ironbreaker or Foot Knight with hammer and shield. Best carry/support class in the game.

Ranger. He can smoke bomb and get anyone up without being noticed. Best clutch. Also shotguns are the best special killer, free heal after bosses, he can hammer + shield tank in a pinch, and free health potions + ammo for anyone from specials.

Ranger makes Iron Breaker look a lazy no-skill class like the Elf is.

Ironbreaker is the best career in the game for saving teammates. Witch hunter captain has a variety of party wide buffs such as 25% power when holding a grimoire talent. Foot knight would be good but his damage resist aura is way too small to be effective.

My current supportive tank build:
Ironbreaker
Hammer and Shield
Accessory that grants health regen at the cost of being unable to use healing items
40% bonus health through traits and accessories
14 Stamina

Result:
I can hold back and tie up just about everything the map can throw at the team. With high stamina and Ironbreakers ability to shrug off damage every so often I'm nigh unkillable and only need help if I get surprised by a special. I've pulled multiple games back from the brink of loss by marching through dozens of enemies to rescue team members. All of this while freeing up every healing item for the rest of the party. The major drawback is I lack any kind of sustainable high damage once my ranged weapon is depleted.

Are you sure that 25% power buff when holding a grimoire is party wide?

It says so in talents, so I would assume that's true. Can't really test it as you don't have access to grimoires at keep

It doesn't.

"Increases Power by 25% when the party holds at least one grimoire".

So it implies that YOU get 25% power when PARTY has a grimoire, because nothing is said about party getting the bonus.

Foot Knight Kruber with his charge ability. You can charge through enemies to knock them back and stun them all or you can charge towards a friendly player and then hold block in front of them if they are in trouble. It's the most direct and effective form of support there is and it works in every situation.

All the group passive buffs are forgettably minor and ineffective. Do not build around them, nobody will notice them. You are literally better off dealing more damage yourself to kill everything faster and this way reduce pressure on your team than applying those lowly buffs to others.

There's also stuff like a trinket or charm bonus that copies a potion's effect from a potion you consume onto the one nearest friendly player. Bonus effects like that are great because they are pretty significant and easy to use for random players - they don't have to play around them, they notice they get a buff and just keep doing what they were doing anyways.

Weird assumption dude.

I believe the aura range are shorter for a good reason. Party members that are fighting alone away from the group shouldnt still benefit from the aura's. However maybe if they increase it by 2-4 feet wouldnt be so bad.

They could at least double it in the current state and it wouldn't be broken. Right now you could pretty much be getting hit by the same poison wind cloud and not be in aura range.
