How to tell weapon damage now?
Why Fatshark took this out I will never understand, but how will we know what weapons are stronger? Should we just go off the first game to compare? Seems really stupid to just have "High Damage" as a stat discription for a weapon instead of letting me see the difference.

When you face main game go to the first right door. Here you will find dummies and they show damage. Armored for armored calculations, unarmored for you know what.

Those target dummies still need work. It doesn't register all damage types, plus when I equiped a weapon with a greater Power Rating, I did the exact same amount of damage.

Damage increases with significant increments of your total power rating, so if your total power didn't go up by a lot, then I don't believe your damage would go up.

it's like the ironbreaker passive "Reduce damage taken" HOW MUCH ? no idea
Markus Mercenary's passive "Increased crit chance" BUT HOW MUCH ? no idea

They really need to show us the number at some point

That's what I'm getting, but I wish I know the math. Seems kinda odd. Does your damage go up in big jumps then? Like instead of damage numbers going up slowly, are there different "tiers" or "brackets" of damage? Is it to make certain upgrades more noticible?

I do believe the current system works on power 'brackets'.

The power of a given Weapon is irrelevant. Your damage is determined by your total Hero power counting all items. It is just that your Weapons often provide the most power rating.

You wont notice any difference in damage with Hero Power 50 - 99

But as soon as you hit 100, your damage output will jump to the next 'bracket' and increase dramatically.

The same goes for 100 - 149. 150 - 199. etc.

It seems to go by 50's.

The game just lacks basic information so can make decisions on gear and talents. Devs played too much Destiny

It's even weirder than just 50's. I was doing some testing and found that there's a damage spike at 162-163 and then one at ~180, one at ~185, one at maybe 90 (couldn't get accurate enough for those ones), and then that stayed the same all the way through 255 which was the highest I could get to right now.

But, it goes deeper than that.

I pwr 5 wardancer blade with a total pwr of 182 has a lower damage than a pwr 100 wardancer blade with a total pwr of 181. The individual power level might matter, but they were also different rarities, and that seems to matter more.

A pwr 82 swift bow, with orange rarity, at a total pwr of 180 does more damage (1875 damage) than a pwr 101 blue swift bow at a total pwr of 182 (1850 damage).

Overall, this damage system is insanely complex, and I wish we could see more stats about it besides just "power level" because gaining 200 damage for every 1000 damage based on your total power level can be a big decider in whether you win a mission or not.
