Maybe the use of bloody five or four in that line was just an accidental coincidence. I guess only FS really knows... whatever, my mind made the leap none the less :)
so imho
-Kill that bloody rakizharr.
-Bloated bloody blightstormer.
-You're welcome to bloody try.
-I'm a bloody battering ram.
-Bloody hell, Sienna.
See a pattern yet?
Why all the focus on the word "bloody"?
Never heard of games embedding hidden references to other works or popular culture?
But seriously, for me it is close to the edge of being a bit too far of a leap... and if I had to bet on it, I'd probably lean towards coincidence... but then again...
Just replace the dolphin sounds with "bloody" and there's your answer.
I think you're experiencing a bit of apophenia. References and Easter eggs are, once discovered, usually very easy to identify as such. The alleged reference here is about as tenuous as it could possibly be. With all due respect, I think it's more wishful thinking on your part.
The reason I went on was that I find the counter-arguments of: "'bloody' is too common a word to be used as a reference" unconvincing. Apophenia is a slightly better argument, but still a bit unconvincing since the "connection" is so simple. As for references should be easily identifiable, and this one being "as tenouos as it could possibly be", for me the line jumped out as a reference the first time I heard it. You'd have to be a pre-schooler not to register that "bloody", "four", and "five" could make it to "bloody-nine".
The reason I find the reference claim to be tenuous is that "the bloody nine" is probably a bit too obscure to most people. However, it's exacly the sort of simple yet far fetched, sneaky thing I'd use if I ever put in an easter egg somewhere.
