topic, various reasons thats pointless to go into, i cant really play with other people so i will be playing alone 99% of the time, is it still worth it or is most of the fun when played with friends or multi?

Playing with friends using voice chat is incredibly fun, I've got hundreds of hours to attest to that. People can eventually burn out though, so sooner or later you'll pugging more than fooling around with friends. Pugs can be a toss up, sometimes fun, sometimes not so, depends on the players.

You can play solo as well. I'm playing private games with bots on legend nowadays to get the hundred games achievements on each class. Six classes down so far.

I find playing with Bots more fun than most of the current lvl 30 players as they (not all mind you) do not play as a team these days and often just decide to run ahead expecting everybody else just to follow like sheep when as the guest on the server should at least be respectful of the rest of the players. But it is also fun just with friends while chatting.

So yes it can be fun to just play solo (with bots) and slowly level up all characters so eventually you can even beat Legend just with your Bots.

The bots are kind of unreliable on champion/legend. They get a bit wonky sometimes and delay a lot. Game's made for multiplayer as the game itself is always online. There are mods for improved bot ai to play on modded realm to make them at least more reliable on higher difficulty.

get it when its on sale then. i usually play solo. it can be a downer but most of the times its more satisfying unlocking things on your own.
Thanks for the input people, i appreciate it, do wish i could actually find a way to have the time to play with people but as long as the way things go currently its just not going to happen lol

ill wait for a sale or until i finish the things im currently playing and need to scratch the WH itch again, i still have a lot of stuff i haven't broken and messed with in TW:WH2 just yet anyway.

I played lots of solo (with bots) and it is fun. If you like a game with good combat mechanics, a variety of careers and a fantasy setting, I think it is worth the money. You can play on your own but you have to be able to connect to the Fatshark servers, so you still need an internet connection.

If you buy, you can get an automatic refund if you log less than 2 hours of game play. Check the Steam returns poilicy.
Well, you need a stable internet connection to play online, and a mod to host your own games.
The only thing you need to know is on the higher difficulties, being champion/legend you do need to play with people, you need to level your bots and need a fair bit of experience under your belt before you can play solo on legend/champion with bots. But recruit and veteran are so easy that bots can handle it just fine making it worth playing solo.

Bots are pretty stupid though, and I mean stupid, so that may be a source of frustration in many games.

I think its better to Just but vermintide 1 for a cheap buck and download some if the quality of life mods and play solo. If You have time and good enough internet speed then i see No reason not to play With other People

If you want to play it solo, just for the experience, character dialogue, etc, it's probably worth it for a few hours, but not worth full price. Get it on sale in that case.

If you have a group of friends that want to play it, but don't want to play with randoms, and want to fill the gaps by playing with bots, yes it's totally worth it. Just be warned that bots are quirky and can be frustrating.

Otherwise no. You can technically play it solo, but it's not the same. Also, it's always online, since it's multiplayer, and even if playing solo you can't work around that; the game will quit if you disconnect even for a few seconds.

I would say not. But i can't talk for everybody. I mostly play with my 1 friend, rarely quick games.

What does solo mean?
According to your description you would not be playing with your friends, but that means you would get matched up with other people, which isn't considered solo.

To clarify the questions and comments being made, the reason i cant play multi is because the job i have, i'm salaried and always on call, i literally cannot just sit down and play a game for very long without getting bothered or called by either my boss or my annoying workers, i have good net, i just do not have the amount of free time required to be able to sit and commit more than an hour at a time to 'undistracted play' so multi is pretty much an out, i cant even play MOBAs anymore because of it.

A session last 20-30 minutes to start and finish a map. If you can commit 35 minutes, you can play a pick-up game with random matchmaking.
