Separate (saved) progress for Modded Realm

I know that this has been said before but it needs to be said again as it's something that pretty much ruins the game for me, my gaming buddies and many others.

We loved Vermintide 1 and we love this game, but we were completely surprised and in disbelief when we read that progress wasn't gonna be saved on modded realm. It just doesn't make any sense and I truely belief it hurts the game!

We were gonna play on modded realm only, as that would allow us (among other fun things) to play as a group of 5 or 6, (there is a mod that makes this possible).

We're always too many people in our group of real life friends for playing 4-player games and so we are always on the lookout for options to play 6-player coop like Killing Floor 2 e.g.

Now we thought we can just play on modded realm only and it's a great new alternative for us.
What is wrong with that?
Why would leveling and gathering loot not be ok for us on the modded realm? We'd simply like to play the game our way and we're not gonna bring any obtained or "cheated" loot to the official realm or spoil the game for anyone.
So why not save the progress? Why not give us the option of just properly playing on the modded realm?
Just make it save locally and not transferable to the official realm...
I thought that's why there are two realms...

I may have to add that one of us just bought the game and is very far behind in character and item level. As he is the 5th or 6th man, he will NEVER be anything but level 1 (he has a very demanding job and two kids and no time to simply grind all that on normal realm without us).

EDIT: I may have to point out more clearly:
I'm suggesting SEPARATE progressions for official and modded realms.
The realms should be independent from each other (characters starting at lvl 0 on modded, as well) and you shouldn't be able to take loot or anything else from the modded realm to the official one.

Because the moment they allow progressing through modded realm, a dozen of mods will appear that trivialize the whole process.

Actually this seems fine.

I'm guessing they don't because of the servers not allowing to with spending the devs using money to keep stuff like that saved, idk.

If modded progress gets saved seperately from normal progress then i have no quarrel with it. I mean, at that point it hurts no one.

What I'm saying is that if people don't want any stupid insta level and item cheating stuff (which I totally understand) they can simply play on the normal realm or play modded realm only with their friends (private games, which is what I would do). But why not give the option of playing on modded realm however you want to?
Because some people will choose to ruin their own experience with stupid mods? To avoid that Fatshark would rather ruin MY modded gaming experience?

You can make up all the excuses you want, but that's what it boils down to in reality. The game is designed for 4 characters, any more and it becomes completely trivial.

Besides, what if I do suck? Does that take away my or anyone's right to enjoy the game or make suggestions? What kind of argument is that?

I dont think it’s possible to have “local save” progress. I think its all like... on their server, or something.

To be fair they could have a seperate progression that only was used in the modded. But then begs the question if that would not devide the community even more?

You don't need to have your progess saved. You can literally give yourself any item that you want.
