WoM comes with:
-5 weapons, one for each hero. That's a 2h spear for kruber, a throwing axe for bardin (usable on slayer and ranger veteran), a spear and shield for handmaiden kerillian, a billhook for saltzpyre (special attack button pulls a single target in and always staggers them no matter what if they're not a boss) and a flaming flail for Sienna
-The beastmen faction. A strong, powerful faction that will kick your ass at first. 1 monster, 1 special, 1 elite and like 3 or 4 different types of infantry + a set of archers, as they're a horde-focused faction. Adds a ton of variety and replayability to all the maps once unlocked.
-1 new map focused on the beastmen. Tis really, really tough, but it's a very fun map with a lot of secrets.
-Cataclysm difficulty, for when Legend is boring you. Pretty much universally agreed to be good.
-The Weaves game mode, which is very fun, beautifully designed alternate game mode. This last one is the most controversial feature, since it's pretty much impossible to enjoy it as a solo player, you need to play this with people. And, at least until season 2 of weaves start, finding people through matchmaking is flat out impossible. But, if you have friends that also own winds of magic willing to play weaves, then you'll probably have a blast.
Simply check which of these you're actually interested in, and check if you think the price tag is worth only that.
Yes if the content is worth the money to you.
Difficulty is crazy, weapons are few with no skins yet, map is only 1 and weaves are a single player or friends deal because no bots and nobody plays it.
To me having grown bored of legend difficulty, the new difficulty and 1 or 2 of the weapons made it worth it, kind of.
Still enjoyed them.
beastmen and a few maps is all we wanted not this convoluted mess
