Bardin Dual Hammers vs 2H Hammer.
What are everyones thoughts on the comparison between these 2 weapons? I am not sure what I prefer yet. I am leaning more towards dual hammers and dual axes for slayer but Ironbreaker using 2H hammer.

The main advantage 2H hammer is is good armor-piercing potential and single target damage. I would not recommend dual axes at this time due to the changes in stagger. Blunt force trauma is much superior at this moment.

Dual dual slayer works fine. The +10% attackspeed help too.

They don't do the same thing. Dual hammers is anti-horde DPS, 2h hammer is heavy control with decent single-target DPS.

Good, but not full.

Range of 2Hhammer is a significant part of it too. Also some might add push power to this list.

But as this guy said

THey are not same. While i dont agree that dual hammers have anyhow better DPS vs horde, especially in current game build, but still he is right about purpose.

I see dual hammers as defensive weapon with mobility, that is more or less good vs armor, can hold and slowly kill horde and still provide you good MS while blocking and fast pushing/attacks.
And 2H hammer is much slower weapon, but with higher control.

2w hammers are MUCH easier to use

but 2h hammer is omg top-dps with weapon swap glitch

Thank you for the replies. So far I think I prefer 2H hammer on IB but I kinda like the feel of dual hammers and axes for Slayer.

2h hammer allows you to kill any amount of Chaos Warriors thanks to quick swap spam and die in full glory :steamhappy:
It's all about taking a big swipe and knocking down a full clump of enemies without having to wreck your mouse with clicks =/ Plus enemies go flying.

2h with charged attacks is insane for crowd control, applies stagger on hordes which is real good for your team and yourself with some nice single target dps on top of it for elites. You can also net the 50% damage reduction perk reliably too.

dual hammers crowds, single axe is still a beast for armored, dont even need heavy swings.

Yea, not sure why dual axes get their armor damage halved vs other axe types.

There are a lot of good weapons for Bardin. Shields, pickaxe, 2h hammer, dual hammers. Maybe even more, but I know these are proven.

Don't forget his voice. The dawi can sing. His enemies tremble before his high notes.

slayer has a changed talent.
-50% dmg when you are charging attacks
combine with uninterreuptable charges AND the two 2h weps for the exra power talent, and your slayer bardin can now aoe smash mobs with his leap and then sauron them with the 2h hammers charges.
whilst enjoying a whole host of buffs.
