Winds of Magic = how many new maps?
Hey community - I play regularly with a small co-op group, we've done most of the L4?-type games, including VT and VT2 through recent expansions. Not VT devotees, don't keep up with news, so please forgive if my question is naive.

Do I understand correctly that Winds of Magic only adds a single map (aka "level") to the game?

Not that well-designed VT2 maps aren't wonderful things. But $20 for a single new map, plus a bunch of new character models plus re-balancing (aka "new faction") seems a little steep to me.

TIA for your feedback.

Yep, just one new map, an incomplete faction, and a poorly thought out new mode.

It is not worth the asking price.

i'm not sure why the new mode is getting so much hate personally, its a fun new thing to grind out that will have seasonal resets with limited time rewards per season. me and my core group have been having a blast with it personally.

it also adds new weapons for each hero, including throwing axes for slayer bardin which you can recall like thors' hammer, those alone made WoM a must buy for me.

you forgot the entire new mode

you forgot every character gets a new weapon , new mode , talent changes and level cap increase (from 30 to 35, also you get 1 new talent row at 35)

Where does it say about seasonal rewards? Thanks

the level 35 talent row is just the one i allready had at 25. they just moved it lol.

the only "new" talents are the stagger ones, which are only to deal with the new stagger mechanics.

And even though my characters are level 50+ i still have to "learn" the level 35 talent... WHICH IS A TALENT I ALLREADY HAD

Seasonal rewards for season 1 or whatever arn't rewards, Their commendation chests WOOOOOOOOOW the greatest seasonal rewards a game can offer.
I get more rewards from recruit then the first seasonal rewards.

+1
I expect more too for 20 dollars, Destiny2 with 20 dollars added an new whole campaign with plenty uncountable maps and additional events.

I guess it's easier to make another thread on the same topic instead of using the search function.

1 new map for several months wait and a new mode which really doesn't add anything to the game that is rewarding, it's just a new self contained gamemode.. There's literally no progression reason to play it. And instead of putting their effort into working on more content, they just decided to rework something that wasn't broken..

Thanks for letting me know what this dlc is, since they dont say on the dlc page.
I am going to skip it.
Heck, $10 for 2 maps from the 1st game was insulting enough. But $20 for a single map and what amounts to 'tweaks' is just egregious.
Fatshark have lost me as a customer.
