Weave progression
It's kinda redundant since it just restarts your whole progress in the game thus far. In other words, you have to get new weapons (white quality) with essence, level it up to a red weapon quality with essence. Then level the amulet of Ashur which then unlocks all your previous talents you lost and counts as your necklace/2 charms with essence. To do what exactly? Play the same maps we have in reverse with a detail change????? Wtf? Then you get no rewards from it. No strongboxes or anything. Actually worthless. its fun to see a change in maps despite how odd it is just to play them in reverse, however all you did was bring me back to level 1 and made me grind to my actual level and re-get my talents/gear. I thought it would be unique and just more talents added on for a more fun experience. Not strip mine away then make me re earn them. it's actually a crap thing to do fatshark.

Yeah, weaves suck.
actual dirt mode.

It seems actually crazy to have a weird, truncated version of the game nested inside the game, but not have any interaction between the two whatsoever.

They could/should award the weave weapon skins as skins for your regular weapons for achieving a certain standing.

And they could make different colored variants for solo, duo, trio...

And they could change them up slightly according to season...

So maybe there will be those kinds of incentives for playing weaves. Eventually.

I mean, really think about it for a second. Someone pitched that idea and enough people in the room agreed with them that it happened. They made a separate game inside this game, that is effectively the same game. It's trufax nuts. They may as well have put an arcade machine in the keep and had you play it in 3rd person over your character's shoulder.

Yeah right now weaves are only for the 1% of players who finished everything in adventure mode. Even with my 700+ hours I haven't done that.

Utterly useless mode as of now. Just look at the requirements for season 1, 40 games per career gives you 1 commendation chest, 600 finished weave runs just to get 15 commendation chests? Wow fatshark, big thanks.

Weaves are the endgame. It's about how far you can push. That's why normal maps give essence. Some of the runs have been very cool so far. It seems like some people don't get it and that's okay.

Weaves aren't the endgame. If they were the endgame, they would come "after" the regular content in some rational sense. But weave equipment and talents are isolated from the main game. There's almost no relationship other than the unlock. That makes weaves their own game.

Which is what makes it so nutty.

The purpose of weaves is pay 2 play this is self evident. You do not remember tencent bought big peice of fatshark 36% and they want a return on their investment.Fatshark bigtime sellouts for destroying V2 for materialistic greed, remember game sold huge at launch.

Honestly, the Weave is just a grindier variant to the base gameplay with short levels and finale standoffs and honestly, I kind of like it for that reason? It's purely optional as its own gamemode and offers a new way to upgrade and perk up (even if it's a bit grindy). I think it boils down to personal tastes and I can't blame people not wanting to keep at it (especially with how nonexistent the rewards are).

I'm still new to it but if it turns out they strip you of all your progress with a seasonal leaderboard system then I'll retract everything I've said about it...

year 2020 still haven t change . i love the game but what is the point of playing with no end to it. looks like some kind of ''MMO'' with less stuff in it . its a realy great start for a game but.............where is the Rest of it !

normal maps give essence because 99% of the playerbase revolted and quit with the DLC, and the few people who did play weaves past beta(even those who didn't) pointed out the insane grind with weaves. they added essence to normal maps and made the amulet shared across all heroes to help alleviate that. some people don't get it and that's okay though.

keep on grinding a standalone mode, never referred to as the end game by FS, and tell yourself you've finally beaten VT2.
