Greathammer was often way to slow when Bestigors charged and knocked you back.
Also Shields work well, best on Ironbreaker because you can get 70% stamina regen.
Copied from my other post:
So I noticed that the teams worked best if 1 or 2 had FAST mass stagger weapons (tried Shield + Axe on IB; Greathammer and DUal Hammers on Slayer (Win was with Slayer).
The fast mass stagger weapons (Mace/Hammer, DUal Hammers, Shield) tap the enemies and give them stagger.
Then the other 2-3 teammates hit the enemies with fast DPS weapons and talents like Assassin or Mainstay for mass dmg boost against staggered enemies since further hits stack up the stagger-condition.
Most hordes were no problem with that "tactic", against Bannergroups, the Shield+Axe really did shine when you were stuck in an area where you can not circle around (IB with 70% stam regen) so you could bash and push your way through to the Banner.
I just find Spear to be better then Halberd, but hey, that might just be my impression
Yeah just found that out, built an unkillable dwarf for my new legend runs. Used to be stupid good before 2.0 and now he's even more broken
